We fancied a nice cup of tea and a scone so decided on Lauretta’s, really glad we did! Small cafe but a good choice on the menu from breakfast to afternoon tea.Good size tea pot for two people (very important!) and delicious home made scones.Nice hosts and very accommodating. They also sell bits and bobs like cards & crafts, plus eggs at a very reasonable price. Also bought two yummy sausage rolls to takeaway, mmmm mmm!

I took Mother in law out for lunch. It was my wife's idea to come here, and it was a good one. The food was really good, the freshly cooked full breakfast was one of the best, and the home-made cake was delicious. The staff were really friendly and helpful - one portion of cake cut in half on 2 plates wasn't an issue at all. Really enjoyed it and will be going back as the cream tea is calling me.

Lovely family run tea room. Atmospheric. Super sausage roll and cheesecake. Fantastic woodburner well stocked by cheerful man.

A very nice and cozy little tea room that myself and my dad often stop at when we’re biking. The atmosphere here is very cozy and home like, and they serve amazing bacon sandwiches here!

Just been in today had a gorgeous bacon and egg butty on seeded bread - eggs were delicious, bread was super soft and bacon was nice and crispy as per my request. Will definitely go in again if in the area.

Marvellous tea room with fabulous staff and great quality food. We love the vintage feel and the food is excellent. Every time we've visited we've received prompt service, you are never kept waiting long and the staff are lovely and attentive. Probably the nicest coffee in the area too.

Quaint tearoom in old stables with outdoor seating by busy road but tables were set back so ok. Home baking looked delicious but my scone was not cooked inside. Pleased to see gluten free dessert available. It is kept frozen which is totally understandable but it was hot one half and still frozen the other so I assume it had not been defrosted correctly. Probably just a couple if oversights. Nice latte and herbal tea.

You know those places that you don't want to review because you don't want everyone to know how they are? Great food, unpretentious but made with care. Really good soup. Great sausage roll. Even the decaff coffee is decent. Just don't tell everyone!

We went for breakfast and right from entering the establishment, was met by a very friendly gentleman who took our order, I had a full English breakfast and my girlfriend had poached eggs on toast, the food arrived freshly cooked and was delicious, and we will certainly visiting again in the near future ?Parking: Very large car park next to the cafe .

Stopped here as we couldn't find any parking in Matlock Bath, and I'm super glad we did. Lovely set up and atmosphere. Food was good and reasonably priced with big portions.Didn't have to wait long despite them being short staffed. Highly recommend and would happily go again.

Just been here for a late lunch. Excellent ploughman's and a wonderfully large pot of tea. Followed delicious cakes. Very nice people and lovely atmosphere. Plus the huge bonus of being very dog friendly. Definitely would recommend.
