I was very disappointed with my meal tonight. I paid £14 for a kofte kebab, chips and a drink. The kebab Comes with salad sauce and pitta.The food was ready in about 10 mins which is was a plus. Hence the 3 stars for service and atmosphere.Unfortunately the kofte was so overcooked I could smell the char as soon I opened the packaging before I even saw that it was burnt black in several places. I gave it a go but it was extremely chewy and you could taste the char where it was burned.The salad was mostly shredded wet lettuce and some sorry looking pale tomatoes the pitta bread looked like it came straight out of tesco value pack. They hadn't even cut the pitta and assembled it as you'd get in most other shops. They just slightly grilled the bread and stuck it on top. If I owned the shop I wouldn't have let that leave the kitchen. I would've thrown it away and started again. Where is the pride in your food? To charge me £14 for this kind of quality is a crime. I will not be back.

Best kebab in North Devon. Doner meat isnt greasy at all. Decent portion and all fresh. Highly recommend!

Can’t recommend this place enough. The kebabs and pizzas are always hot, fresh and delicious. The only thing I can’t recommend are the chips, as they often come soggy due to sweating in the container. No idea how to fix that, but that’s a small grumble when everything else is so good

Last weeks takeaway - the kebab was awful, chicken over cooked and doner meat undercooked, to give the benefit of the doubt another one this week, doner wrap disintegrated and so much salt on the chips that they are inedible. Also changed containers so portions are smaller and they leak in the bag and just generally make a mess so unfortunately after about 15 years or more of using Ali’s it’s time to look elsewhere!

Food is OK, no problem at all just no wow factor on any of their dishes I have tried, yet, will continue to go to them though.

I ordered online but called to say we all have COVID so please knock loudly as we are upstairs in bed. They took my number incase they needed to call at arrival. They were so lovely and the amount of food we got was enough to feed us for two days. We are so I'll and unable to cook and they obviously listened and helped my giving us HUGE portions.

Not been here before and after a long journey it was just what we needed! Got the sharing chicken box (£15.99 for two people to share) and it was amazing. It was freshly cooked and looked too much for us to eat but we demolished it all. Highly recommend the chicken box for two, will definitely visit again if we are in Bideford!

The staff was so rude, we watched a lady wait for 20 minutes to be served and as soon as they went to serve her they told her the place was closed and was so rude about it. Just turned all the lights off on her and everyone else still inside eating.No one else was waiting to be served for the entire time.
I went to this kebab shop with my girlfriend who lives locally and the food was delicious! It was quickly made and served hot and we ate at one of the tables and the atmosphere was delightful. The staff were friendly and welcoming and I cannot wait to return soon!

Local and ordered from here many times. Portions are a little pricey but very big. Meats are excellent, delivery is fast and you can order easily on their website.Would like to see chicken doner as an option, would be the only way to improve. This is a best place for kebab on Bideford.
