Reserved a table at this fabulous cafe and were so glad we did as the place was incredibly busy! Amazing lunch, cakes and coffee - all delicious - served by lovely, friendly and attentive staff. Can't be recommended enough and we'll definitely be back! 10/10!Vegetarian options: Delicious Vegan stew on the menu and a vegan cake option.

This place used to be pretty reliable but it appears the service has deteriorated and the food remains above average but is inconsistent. Real shame.

Can be very noisy when busy (which is pretty much all the time!)It is a great place and a 'little slice of different' for North Devon.Food is sooo tasty ?

Transcendent in the welcome, the atmosphere, the service, and the meals offered.

Lovely to return after a little while to table service, fantastic. Still lovely staff and such a good selection of foods. Will return more often.

OMG the baked cheesecake is amazing. Lovely place. 4/5 for the coffee.

Great little cafe. Do not miss the Galettes. Best I’ve had outside France!

Surly staff and a ridiculously long wait just to get a latte. Come on , if I spend £3 on a coffee it could at least be a bit warm.

Nice food and atmosphere but hurried on with a sleeping baby after we finished because “the chef wanted to get more orders in”, which was a dissapointing end to an enjoyable visit

Great cafe next to the park and integral to the Burton gallery.

We have visited this cafe as a group and enjoyed it . Today however not so . It was busy but we had reserved a table. Service was speedy and friendly. But ,there was no gluten free bread at all. One of us had a white rustic baguette and it was so hard a visit to the dentist would have been in order had she risked it . We had to request the salad garnish .All of this meant its unlikely we will return soon.

I love this place but won’t be going there again. Went on Saturday when all the mini cars on. So not busy at the time I attended. Had Cappuccino, Latte and a raisin pastry. The Latte was just a milky coffee and hardly any coffee, very weak. I asked for it to be re done and a said it wasn’t a latte should have a smooth milk texture and small amount of froth on top. Unlike Cappuccino which is mainly frothed milk and 2 shots of coffee. The rude young lady said it was a latte and that latte does not have froth. She topped the milky drink with another shot of coffee and gave it back. I thought her attitude was very in friendly. Sorry to say won’t be spending another £11 at this cafe.

Had to wait a while to have our order taken, hence the 4 rather than 5 but otherwise the staff were very good and the food very tasty. Reasonably priced for an early lunch and good size portions for the three of us.

Fantastic food and great service. The daily specials board offered a great choice alongside the French menu. We’ll definitely be back

I live in town and go to this place all the time with my baby. The best local coffee, food is delicious and diverse and the staff are lovely and so accommodation. Genuinely is my favourite local place and I’m glad it’s right on my door step!
