We were staying in Bideford and looking for somewhere local to eat. We came across The Rose Salterne on Trip Advisor. We decided to visit and I’m so glad we did. We managed to walk in and get a seat, were served almost straight away and food came out quickly. I cannot understand some reviews on here as the place was canny and was plenty of people eating/drinking in here. Dont be put off by some of the reviews as the food was tasty and hot

Always find a weatherspoons when we go on holiday and I must say this was one of the best I have been to. Spotlessly clean and very welcoming.

Great wetherspoons. We always take the kids here when we're in Bideford. It's a cosy, welcoming place. The menu choice is fab and suits everyone. The kids love it and it's quick and very reasonable. Of course nothing special but it suits us! The refills on hot drinks are great too.

A well managed Wetherspoons. Friendly & helpful staff. Pub interior was clean. Can't be beaten on price, as you would expect. Food was tasty & well presented.

The fish & chips were lovely. Nice fresh cod encased in crispy batter - no grease or sogginess. Staff always friendly delivering good service. Cheap, good quality drinks as usual.

A typically huge Wetherspoons with a long distance trek to the toilets and their usual amazing range of beers, spirits and wine, all at affordable prices. Tables weren't sticky, unlike some 'spoons! There's a few street side tables outside.Parking: Not much parking nearby, but only 10 minutes walk from the council run car parks.

Required some refreshment late afternoon and rather than have coffee due to warm weather had some cider which was of a similar price for 1/2 a pint. Bar and pub were quite quiet so quickly served. Looked at food menu and saw it was substantially cheaper than the Admiral Collingwood in Ilfracombe. Disappointed with standard of toilets which has been reported separately direct to Wetherspoons.

Love all the Weatherspoon’s that we have visited, it’s more the clientele than Weatherspoon’s I think but sometimes the seats/chairs look grubby. Hey ho it’s open to the general public.

Some sort of failure resulted in no vegan burgers and no chips!! Wed 30/08/23. Other than that, friendly staff and nice open airy pub. Owner is still to admit Brexit is a disaster and to apologise for his attitude to his staff at the time...

Good size Witherspoon's with plenty of seating. Not too busy considering we went on a Saturday evening. Prices were really cheap compared to London prices and the staff were really friendly. Overall a good experience, I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are in the area.

With whether spoons normally you get what you pay for and a bit more. Normally the food is ok/good. This was not. The worst quality food I've had at a restaurant in many years. Chicken burger over cooked. Pizza undercooked. They didn't even have chips?! Will never be returning to this spoons again.

I mean, can't complain really can you. Reasonably priced food, not the best, not the worst. Their wings are top tier though. My only issue with Spoons is the fact they allow drinking alcohol from just gone 9am in the morning. I really think it should be sold no later than midday

Ordered the steak and kidney pudding and was surprised at how good it was. The staff were excellent, very friendly and professional. Everyone enjoyed their food so no complaints.
