My husband and I stayed here in December 2023 for a couple nights during our honeymoon trip and it was delightful! The staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and came with a great view. We had wonderful meals and service at the restaurant including dinner on day 1, dessert on day 2 and breakfast on day 3 before we departed. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again!

Fantastic buffet last night for our friends retirement do at The Seagate. Not your usual buffet fare, masses of mussels, gigantic prawns, pulled pork, squid rings, chunky chips and so much more! Michelle looked after us all for the evening and we had such a great time, would recommend highly ⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a wonderful waitress Ella was, so friendly and so helpful and chatty. Fish and chips a delight and never tasted better. Plant burger maybe needs a rethink but the appledore best made up for it. Huzzah!

Very excited to have booked a table for breakfast to watch the women’s football final following an email suggesting to ‘book a slot’.On arrival no table booked at all. Who did I speak to? Where did she write my booking?We are locals and we’re hoping to change my mothers view about the Seagate but unfortunately it wasn’t to be.Just a sorry and goodbye.

Very nice evening meal for two. Very good service and lovely food. More of a pub atmosphere than restaurant. Pleasant and prompt service.Nearby activities: It's right in the seafront and I imagine it would be lovely to have lunch or coffee looking out onto the sea.Food & drinks: I had the catch of the day which I thought was delicious. Particularly nice chips !

I stayed here the night before a work event and was very impressed. I arrived on a Sunday evening while the quiz was going on and the pub downstairs was bustling with a great atmosphere. The room was lovely and cosy with everything you could need and the dinner and breakfast were both great. The service was 10/10 and staff couldn’t do more for you. Appledore seemed like a lovely seaside town, would have liked to spend more time there!

We were served by a lovely young man ‘Tom’ who was very friendly & attentive. The food was nice, however I don’t think the prices of the food matched the quality, when paying so much for something I do expect a side salad to be more than a few wilted mixed lettuce leaves & the mushy peas to be not just garden peas squashed with a fork!! It was tasty and fresh but my sea bass was over cooked, I think maybe you pay for the location, unfortunately I wouldn’t dine here again, main reason being that it is overpriced for what it is.

Our table was managed by Tom, he was very attentive and courteous. Several items had interesting descriptions so as a Canadian I needed some translation….. the meal was very good and we left very satisfied. I had booked ahead on the hotel website and that proved to be beneficial.

Lovely place.. perfect location. Very talented young chef (Patrick) top job ! Only complaint is no cheesy chips on menu .. Great dining experience We opted for a meal while on holiday and found the presentation excellent along with great service from bar and table wait staff. The atmosphere was buzzing with many other tourists and visitors. A great experience thank you Team Seagate
We stayed for one night at the end of July. The room was way too small and no ventilation resulting in it being way too hot. There was a fan in the room but nowhere near powerful enough so pointless. The bed was too hard and caused an uncomfortable sleep. The room was dusty, with cobwebs on show. The bath base was broken. Not what you’d expect for £185 for one night. On a positive note, however, the breakfast we had the following morning was great. We would definitely come back here again for food, just not to stay!

What a beautiful hotel, the room is spacious, clean and comfortable with a phenomenal view of both the countryside in the back drop and the sea.Check in experience was fantastic, we were greeted with a bottle of fizz and a fantastic host, Michelle. She was awesome to talk to, helpful and friendly.The place couldn’t be any better for our honeymoon.

Wow. Popped in for early dinner, haven’t been in for about 6 months and the service and food was exceptional. The best Sunday lunch I’ve eaten for at least 18 months (thank you to the chef) and the staff were a delight especially Jamie who went the extra mile. We are local and it’s so refreshing to go somewhere where they look after all their customers (sometimes when you live by the sea the restaurants can get blasé).

Noah in the bar was such a great host! He welcomed us in at checked in us at all times! We are locals but have made to feel unwelcome recently but Noah changed that all! He was such a good bar man sharing jokes and stories. Absolute top man absolute loved our visit

Wow! Best ever fish&chips we've had! What a beautiful place Appledore it is and The Seagate pub/restaurant on the shore is just the cherry on the top ?Not only the food was delicious, the serving and the friendliness of the waiters was just amazing! Giant battered fish cooked to perfection , the chips were cruncy but fluffy inside and I'm not even saying about the tartar sauce and mushy peas with mint that really made the difference, just D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S ?If you ever find yourself around this area you won't be disappointed.Oh and its also dog friendly ❤️
