Called in on the off chance as we noticed they did Sunday roasts.We ordered some drinks and 2 x chicken roast dinners. I was informed that their was a wait of 30 to 40 mins but it was on our table in about 30 mins and was worth the wait..all fresh veg and a Yorkshire pudding and stuffing with roast tattys and abit of mash. Plenty of chicken on the bone * two pieces* so certainly filled us up.Very friendly staff and the service was spot on...Would deffo call in again and try something different as other reviews recommend some other choices. Glad we took the chance.

Lovely welcome into the pub. Clean and cosy. Food was absolutely amazing. Chicken burger and bacon & cheese burger, out of this world! Would recommend anyone to visit.Kid-friendliness: Big box of colouring crayons, paper available and a children’s bag of puzzles

Went based on previous reviews. We were greeted in a really friendly way but the place was very quiet and we were a bit unsure at first but the food was extremely good. I had the chicken burger and my daughter had the beefburger, both were some of the best we have had.We visited out of season so that would explain why it was empty, I'm sure in season the atmosphere would be much better.

Excellent roast dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful.Couldn't fault it in anyway. Bit more expensive than usual pub roasts, bit worth every penny. Will definitely be going again.
Hadn’t been here for a while but so glad we chose to come back.Great friendly service, really good, proper pub food and reasonable prices. My husband is a fussy b***** and he really enjoyed his meal! 4 of us all chose a different meal, 4 of us happy!

Popped in here one evening for our tea about 7pm we asked if still serving food the answer was yes. So we ordered. I had Ham egg and chips my husband had the steak pie and mash. Both meals were very nice and the service was good. Plus the Bird cage is dog friendly. Will certainly go back next time in Brixham.
