Fantastic food and service. Superb roast dinner, and the bonus of some live music! A great place to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon. I will be returning!

Great food. Loving the new menu! Service was spot on and was nice to have some live music with it.

Food was ok. Service felt a bit hostile at times.

Visited here on Saturday 09/03/2024 at midday for lunch. It was fairly busy downstairs but there is additional seating/tables upstairs so that’s where we sat. We were greeted by Jess as we arrived upstairs and it was clear she was just preparing for the midday rush as quite a few people arrived at the same time and were asking about tables. Despite the rush, Jess remained absolutely calm, friendly, polite and professional. I observed her serving people as we were keen to place our order quickly and not out of turn, and she managed everything perfectly, taking orders in the order that people had arrived so before long we had been served. We opted for soft drinks each, soup and the fishfinger roll. Everything arrived promptly despite how busy it was. And everything was hot and tasty. Jess checked everything was ok and even though more people were arriving, she kept up the pace and didn’t falter at all in delivering great customer service. Our bill came to £25 and we added £5 tip which was well deserved. If I was running my own business I’d love to have a Jess at front of house. Brilliant, thank you and keep up the good work.

First Class experience. Staff good, Drinks good, food good. In all a wonderful lunch on a cold day in January. Our first time in Brixham since 1968. Super

We are in the upstairs restaurant, which had a nice atmosphere and calm vibe, with table service. The service was great and the food was delicious! I can recommend the duck gyoza and ale pie ( and they let me have mash instead of chips! ?)

Visited before and had a great meal. Decided to try the roasts today and was not disappointed. Had the beef brisket which was incredible, so tasty. Can’t believe I’ve not had the roast here before, will definitely be back.Thank you so much to Anna who looked after us in the restaurant, such a nice spot overlooking the golden hind too!
