“Crusoes is a firm favourite of ours, we regularly enjoy the view over the harbour with a nice bottle of wine and a beautiful, high quality fillet steak, cooked on hot rocks so that you can take your time and soak up the view. The home cut chips are so moreish. Gill the waitress and Gary the chef are so friendly and ensure you have a lovely evening without being in any way intrusive. Thoroughly recommend. We would try some of the lovely looking seafood on the menu but it’s difficult to not order a fillet steak when they are so good and great value.”

“Decided to take my children here for a "snack" whilst on holiday in the area and Rocksalt did not disappoint. We ordered a few starters to share between us. Crusty Baguette with Anchovy Mayonnaise was possibly the nicest thing I've eaten in a long time. Whitebait, my children were very keen to try for the first time and they loved it! Pint of prawns, we all devoured this, prawns were super tasty and so fresh. Salt and pepper squid was absolutely beautiful again, so fresh.We sat outside where it's covered and with outdoor heaters which was lovely. We over looked the fishing harbour and saw 2 seals.The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, it was a very pleasant hour and I would highly recommend coming here if you are in the area..I didn't take any pics of the food cause I totally forgot and was too busy getting stuck in!”

We had Olives with bread then Turbot and Monkfish with Dauphine Potatoes with Veg & Salad followed by profiteroles and Citrus Tart - all delicious & very enjoyable evening, staff really looked after us - thank you.”

“Easy to book using the web - good start. Upon arrival, immediately welcomed and offered a choice of two tables - excellent.The location was spotlessly clean - so brilliant start.The let down - the menu. Greatly reduced since previous visits.The food we did order was well prepared and delicious - no problems there.The staff were professionally friendly - very good,So, please extend the menu with just a few additions and my rating will go to 5*.”

“Easy to book a table, (the phone was promptly answered).Upon arrival the greeting was perfect and we were shown to our table straight away.The venue was spotless - a major requirement for me.The menu was very good, and once we ordered starters and main, they were served up perfectly.The quality of the food was excellent and the servers subtly ensured all was good.This is not the first time that we have experienced this level of service and I very much doubt it will be the last.See you all next time we are in Brixham (early next year we hope).Thank you.”

“We visited Brixham last weekend (Sat) as there was supposed to be a fish fest. We didn't noticed anything extraordinary on the harbour just the usual buzz of people enjoying the sunshine and being able to still sit outside. We decided on Simply Fish restaurant as we have eaten here numerous times when we lived in Brixham. Still great fresh cod & chips. Cooked to perfection. We had the smaller portion as it was lunch time and certainly sufficient for us with the large portion of mushy peas. Value for money. And all washed down with a Chilled beer what more do you want. There is a discretionary service charge in your bill that we were more than happy to pay as we would have definitely left a tip..”
