Visited yesterday for roast lunch with my brother and our four children. We had a mix of beef and pork and the kids all had kids roasts. It was exceptional. Hands down one of best roasts I’ve ever had. Crispiest roast potatoes, generous yummy gravy, loads of veg and colli cheese. Lots of crackling and a huge Yorkshire pud. The kids cleared their plates too. They shared a few puddings, the Belgian waffles with caramel sauce and biscoff crumb was heavenly. It’s a shame we live the other side of exeter. Shall just have to visit my brother more often so w e can visit again. Lovely friendly land lady and staff too. Highly recommend this friendly village pub.

We used to visit the Crown of Crediton regularly when we lived and worked locally and the food was always excellent. We had the chance to get our first takeaway in a long time and it was superb. It was piping hot, even after our journey home and each dish was so tasty. Our favourite is Pork Yuk Sung. It was every bit as good as we remembered.Pick up was via the back door in the car park and they only take cash which was explained when we ordered. Thank you for a lovely meal.

The food can at best be described as bland, tho the curry sauce was indescribable and I've had better tasting uncle Ben's rice. Sorry for the one star but it wouldn't let me give a zero rating

Lovely local, country pub….great atmosphere where you can relax, enjoy and socialise. Traditional pub menu, wide selection, recommend the curry’s and burgers. Stay local with the drinks, Devon Red cider is a must. Love going back when we can, thoroughly recommend it.

Still providing the best Chinese food in the area imo :-)

Worst Chinese I've had. 5 items, none of them had any taste. Hoisin sauce for duck pancakes looked and tastes like gravy. Bbq spare ribs came in a sauce that was 90% water. Save yourself the hassle of writing a review and get food from somewhere else. £35 spent and asked for prawn crackers to which I was informed that they were £2.50 a bag.

The place is dated, shabby and in need of redecoration. This is reflected in the restaurant which lacks atmosphere and is really cold in the winter! However, the food is delicious! Eating in or takeaway, it’s consistently tasty, generous helpings, great value and authentic. Frequent flyer here!

Highly recommend, very friendly landlord and landlady, the locals were very friendly and accommodating. Spotlessly clean and modern pub. Thanks for your hospitality love the Cornwall nurses/PA we really enjoyed our evenings out.

Not having been inside a pub for well over a year this was a lovely way to break that dry spell! Since our lost visit the pub has had a makeover, but the great atmosphore and brilliant food are just the same. The sunday roast is a thing of beauty - I had roast beef, the two other people in our party had rump of lamb - all done to perfection, very generous portions with a choice of vegetables and a beautiful cauliflower cheese. Other pub classics are also on offer, and son was very happy with his scampi and chips. Wahed down with a very well kept pint of Proper Job, and finished off with a round of puddings (cheese and biscuits for me). Very friendly service from the young staff, deftly overseen by the friendly lady. Couldn't have been happier....proper food in a proper pub. We'll definitely be back.

We had a Sunday lunch takeaway here this week. It was great. Very hot and well packaged. The portions were very generous and the meal itself was delicious - tender beef, five vegetables (including cauliflower cheese), huge roast potatoes, big yorkshire puddings, gravy. It was such a heartening treat after months and months of being shut in. Thank you Rose and Crown. We'll be back (and in a good way).

We eat here at least once a week, sometimes several times if we are feeling lazy. ?I have an odd list of intolerances so getting food out has always been a hassle, but the great thing about this place is that they will make almost anything to my needs. My personal go to is the spicy vermicelli noodles (with certain ingredients switched out) and a portion of prawn toast with seaweed. My partner recommends the vegetable chow mein and the meat spring rolls. They have always been very friendly, helpful and quick- which is great when you've had a busy day and want to relax with some fresh food.Highly recommended, literally just about to pick up a cheeky Tuesday treat as we speak. ?

Although not currently open, their takeaway service is excellent. Good portion sizes, always piping hot, served with a friendly welcome.

Great, village pub. Food and service is always superb without fail. One of a handful of pubs left with a lovely atmosphere and several regular drinkers. Highly recommend!
