We had a very rude waiter who told us off at the door for not booking enough seats for the kids even though we wrote it on the booking online that we would need 2 high chairs. The place was empty enough that it wouldn't have been an issue anyway but he still felt the need to have a go. We also ordered coffee and had to ask 3 different servers for sugar which we never received in the end.

I came here with work colleagues, equalling around 16 of us.Bill’s accommodated us very well, we had swift service, tasty food and an amazing atmosphere. For those looking for a group outing, Bill’s can definitely accommodate, just make sure you book in advance so they have time to prepare for your gathering.Parking was easy also, parked in the Exeter car park, opposite Pho, and then a quick 5 minutes walk to Bills.Thank you Bill’s staff for your hospitality :)

Been here a couple of times and the food is beautiful, the place is beautiful and the service is amazing. Both times I've been recently we have had Ruby serve us. She is a sweet girl, nothing is too much trouble and always happy and smiling. Will definitely be back. Staff always very chatty and busy it's lovely to

A good quick fix. Overall a perfectly agreeable experience. A nicely furnished restaurant with a warm ambiance. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The drinks menu was slightly bare however perfectly acceptable and featured many popular beverages (Coke, fruit juice, larger and a small selection of wines etc). The fried calamari sharing plater was a very generous size and seasoned well. The hummus was slightly bland and the flat bread lacked seasoning. However was still enjoyable. Finally the seafood linguine. The pasta was well cooked and the sauce was well seasoned and a nice consistency. The seafood itself was mildly dry and lacked any significant volume however I appreciated it is hard to deliver such quality at this very reasonable price point. Overall I would recommend Bills to anyone. Great service and the staff were lovely.

So disappointed! I travelled to Exeter from Dorset to meet a friend who drove from Cornwall. As it was just over a week to Christmas I expected Bill's to be busy so booked a table for lunch. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated at a table squashed in by the door and where staff stand to greet customers. We were then told that basically we had an hour to eat our lunch as the table was booked again at 1.15pm!!! When I expressed my disappointment I was told that it was Christmas and their busy time! I said that they should put it on their their website that the dining slot was for only one hour as if they had I wouldn't have booked with them. We ate our main course and then went elsewhere for coffee and cake. A really poor experience at Bill's. I used to meet a friend there for coffee and then we'd stay on for lunch too. Never again.

Food was great. Service was a bit sparse, not sure if they were short that day, but they didn't say so.We waited over half an hour, after our booking time, to get our table. Yet, when we were eventually seated, there were other tables near us empty, that could have easily been pulled together for us and sat empty for a while after. So, they need to manage table plans a bit more flexibly.

We took advantage of the Early Bird offer for our Christmas meal. Food, service and atmosphere were excellent. I recommend the Santa Burger Stack - SO good!!!! Love this place, it never disappoints.

Had a lovely salad for lunch here with a friend. The staff were very friendly and attentive. My only niggle that they automatically add 12.5% tip, my fault for not reading bill thoroughly. It should be down to me to choose to add a tip.

Very nice breakfast, but 12.5% service charge (which did not seem optional) was a bit much for breakfast. We asked for our bill, but waited ages to catch anyone as it did not arrive. Eventually had to walk to door and speak to "host"

Had a Sunday mid afternoon meal with the familam. I had the Pigs in Blankets burger, which was ok, but maybe not as good as a regular burger. Then there was a chicken burger and a couple of chicken and pancakes. All food was pretty good, and service was friendly and efficient. Just be careful if paying the bill on line, there is a service charge auto added on, plus an extra service charge of 5% if you don't deselect!
