Horrible place to wait between trains. Dark dreary paintwork - even on the ceiling - didn't seem to have any heating, doors wide open to the cold outside.

Needs some heating !!

I know you pay more for coffee from a coffee shop, but even on that scale the coffee served here is overpriced. The shop… if you can call it that is grim and cold. Go to the Costa just outside the station. There’s no where to sit, but if you think you’ll be able to shelter from the cold at the Starbucks like I did, forget it. Feel proper mugged off, should have gone to the Costa.

I come here every Wednesday to grab a snack and a coffee before hopping on the train. Ewelina makes sure I have my espresso as son as I pay! What a great customer service from her!

Place is often crowded but that’s to be expected as it’s in a train station. Perhaps this is the reason orders are rushed such as not adding whipped cream when it has been asked for. Also note this is a franchise and Starbucks points cannot be gained or applied here.

What a dingy, depressing place, coffee was ok, panini soggy with skimpy filling . Won't beback !

Efficient yet pleasant service and quite busy, but got a table free. The 3 stars is for the taste of my coffee which was a soya decaffe latte. It was very very bland. Soya milk had no soya taste and very bland coffee taste. Add on top the very high price of almost £5 for a large cup - and they only do takeaway cups - it is not worth it IMO. At least it was definitely extra hot as requested.

I ordered a latte with oat milk today and when it was made it wasn’t marked as oat milk and after trying it I was certain it wasn’t! I went to query it to the person at checkout and they said they’d make it again and the other person making the drinks had a little tantrum about it? Maybe they thought I couldn’t hear because I had headphones on ? they then pretended to make it again and gave it back to me… like why would you do that ? I’m genuinely not trying to be difficult but I cannot drink normal cow’s milk due to allergies and it can make me really poorly! I am at Exeter Uni and went to the starbucks on campus and they confirmed it was cow’s milk and were really kind and made it again for me!! Really not impressed and I’m glad I knew he didn’t remake it with oat milk otherwise I would have drunk it! Won’t come back here and I don’t recommend this chain of Starbucks, but if you’re a student, the one on campus is amazing!!

Yesterday going through the station I thought I'd treat myself to a coffee, takeaway! I ordered a flatwhite and a flapjack. The young man said the amount which shocked me only because I don't usually buy coffee out! I gave him a £20 note and he gave me £10.55 change! I looked at it and asked him how much did you say it was? He shot back and said, how much did I give you? At that point I was quite surprised and shocked by his rude, quick response. I laid the amount of change on the counter... He short changed me £3 exactly! I may be jumping the guns here, but this was not a genuine mistake, it was a deliberate! This little blitter thought he'd catch this grey head lady out and pocket it, plus he didn't offer a receipt! As I said I may be jumping to conclusions, I just think if he did this to everyone who paid cash.......I'm definitely not a happy customer, this happened around mid day 25/09/23.

Do not get coffee from here unless you want to be throwing up on your train! I got a medium oat iced pumpkin spiced latte and a pastry from here on Monday morning. The oat milk and the pumpkin syrup were layered on eachother and no matter how much I stirred it, would not combine, being tired I thought nothing on it on my train to Swindon (changing at Bristol Parkway). About 15 minutes after finishing drinking the coffee I began to feel very sick and had to get off the train at Bristol Temple Meads (there were no stops between Taunton and Bristol so had to stand up at the door of the train trying not be sick). I threw up in the station toilets twice and had to seek assistance from the station staff. They gave me a £5 GWR voucher to get water and I went to the Starbucks at Temple Meads to get water. I also asked if such separation between the oat milk and syrup was normal and the lady was very helpful and said that it is absolutely not normal for it to do that and that she thought the oat milk may have been off. I submitted an enquiry online, to which i’ve had no response, and my mother has messaged on Facebook, which has also been ignored. I get coffee from Starbucks all the time, but won’t be coming back to the one at the station because not only do they charge more for the same product, they also make people ill.
