We went with 2 fussy children but was so surprised with the menu and they loved it! Not too long a wait on a busy Saturday evening.

I had my first dining experience at Wagamama's last night with friends and it was thoroughly impressive. The food quality stood out remarkably. The flavours in each dish were vibrant and well-balanced, making it an ideal spot for both aficionados and newcomers to Japanese cuisine. I tried the chicken, which was cooked to perfection, and a side dish that complemented the main course beautifully. The highlight, however, was the katsu curry. Not only was it delicious, but the portions were also generously sized – a trend I noticed across all our orders.Wagamama's also caters well to different spice tolerances. The regular curry was flavourful without being overly spicy, and they offer options to add extra heat for those who prefer it. The service was unique in that the dishes were served as soon as they were ready, resulting in staggered arrivals at our table. This might be unusual for some, but it certainly didn't detract from our overall experience. The restaurant's cleanliness was evident, though an oddly slippery floor was a notable exception. It seemed more like a consequence of some cleaning agent rather than a lack of hygiene. Despite this minor hiccup, the dining experience was fantastic. I would definitely recommend Wagamama's for anyone looking for great quality Japanese food with ample portions in a clean and welcoming environment.

Disappointed that half the meal ordered was missing but as it came from deliveroo I can’t request replacement items . Ramen was dry as a consequence as two soups/ sauces missing.Refund is ‘ok’ but not to replace it is disappointing, Wagamama is not cheap and this was a treat after an extremely hard few days.People packing for delivery drivers need to be more careful. It’s not fair to disrespect customers because they know we can’t come back to the restaurant to complain and have to do it via the delivery company

Ramen is good but the duck rice is too sweet for me. Service is fine too. I would go on Sunday night rather than Saturday because Saturday would be crowded.

Ordered a donburi, to be told after 25+ minutes (after my wife had recieved her main) there was a delay on donburis due to people ordering more hot food? No idea on the logic of that one as i believe it's a restaurant. The donburi never turned up and we gave up waiting after my wife had completely eaten her food and the table next to us getting all of theirs too, including a donburi. Had 3 separate people come to me asking if I was waiting for food, but none of them returned to the table to give any update. We eventually just left. Massively disappointed from a service standpoint and will very carefully consider before returning again. The food we did get was probably the best part of the whole experience, can't say I've ever been to a restaurant before and left having to go and get dinner afterwards, bit of a joke.

Normally, we love a wagamama date night. But the last few times we have been, we have been disappointed with the food. The staff are lovely friendly and helpful and the restaurant is clean. But the food has become bland, and tasteless, we were very surprised this time to have the yaki soba which was dry, overcooked and very bland and the chicken kastu curry and rice was quite tastless, the rice was overcooked and stodgy and the sauce was bland. The drinks were lovely but overpriced. It's a shame, but we will be eating elsewhere from now on.We may try again in a few months' time to see if anything has changed, but if not, then that's us done with wagamamas in Exeter now.

The food was alright though some dishes were a bit disappointing. Service was a bit of a mix and some dishes were quickly received whereas others we had to wait for a long while for. It was very busy and load and hence ambience wasn’t great.

10/10 food, 10/10 service. Came at an extremely busy time and still got served very quickly and excellently by an amazing new server called Dylan. Had the Chicken Katsu Curry, Ginger no Mojito, Green Tea (Free) and the White Chocolate n Ginger Cheesecake which was all excellent. Very much recommend.

Absolutely delicious food and lovely atmosphere, but let down by poor, inefficient, unprofessional service, this needs improvement!

Superb food and quick service. We had a selection of prawn starters and bang bang cauliflower to start, all delicious. Tofu Pad Thai for mains and caramel miso ice cream(one enough to share) for desert. Will certainly return.

Popped in this evening on the off chance was pretty busy however we were seated straight away. Our server Harvey was great had the chicken hotpot to try something new, there was a bit of a wait for this to come out however it was worth it ?Bang bang cauliflower was bang on as usual and the Ebi Katsu prawns were bloody lovely, husband had vegatsu and he really enjoyed it.The atmosphere is always good, very clean premises. A lovely place to eat, already looking forward to our next visit.Pleased we got there when we did as there was quite a queue when we left ?

Wagamama Exeter you are blinking brilliant!!!Atmosphere throughout the restaurant was buzzing with food excitement, happy faces on every table.Food...out of this umami world!! The glow on peoples faces when plates and bowls land in front of them, the food smiles were wonderful to see.Service never stopped a second. Everyone on the floor and kitchen moving and working together, even with smiles.Hats off to you all. Great tables checks, nice chat with the duty manager on the door, and the floor team were all engaged and doing what they should do best.Highly recommend. This is what we were born to enjoy.Deffo worth the 10 minute wait in the que.Belly now full of waga umami yummyness.Vegetarian options: I am veggy and had no trouble at all today.Bang bang cauliflower, mushroom and aubergine boa buns, tofu goujujanng rice bowl, kimchi, katsu banana (this miso ice cream is dreamy) macha chouxbun. All eaten with love and happiness.

Well!! I went to Wagamama in Bath...seems like a hundred years ago....but didn't enjoy it and have never been back. But now I am so glad I did. This time in chilled out Exeter. And I absolutely loved it !! My Yaki soba was delicious and the small dishes were sooo tasty too. It comes at a price though because it is expensive and the chicken and prawn was difficult to find. Nice atmosphere not particularly relaxing as we could see 8 chefs slaving away in close proximity. That's probably why it's expensive. Nice Isahi beer...again pricey at £6.50 a bottle. Friendly service and all in all a super time....
