We came to enjoy the views from the restaurant. Looking at the menu, unfortunately, the prices for food were overpriced, most mains over £20, so we opted for drinks. We had been placed upstairs at our request, unbeknown that we needed to order food to sit there. Waiting staff were very rude, after more than half an hour of us already sitting upstairs, with drinks, we were told we needed to move, as we were taking up "valuable space". There were more than 10 free tables available upstairs, and no one was queueing to sit in this area.Lovely location, a shame about the frosty staff and ridiculous prices. Signage needs to be improved if you can't enjoy only drinks upstairs.

Appalling experience, shocking service, plastic glasses given to a 43 year old lady and 62 year gentleman, on request for a glass was told no unless we brought food, how degrading! Bar staff cringing at this but only doing there job, I shall not be visiting again, first and last experience lived in Exmouth my whole life. Disgusted.

My go-to place for a perfectly cooked rare fillet steak.

Lovely location, £77 for lunch for two. The food no good. Service about the same. Eat out about 4/5 times a week. Really disappointed. Didn't even do the normal things like ask if your meal was ok. Even collected our own drinks.

Had really good food and decent local ales. Service was second to none. Decent views out to sea too.

We’ve been in Exmouth for a couple of years and tried most places to eat but had not tried Mickeys partly because of mixed reviews. Recently we’ve been twice in the last month so this review covers both meals.Service was one of the things mentioned as lacking. Both our visits were very positive with friendly attentive service. It’s slightly odd that they want to check you in on the ground floor even if you have a booking. This means waiting until the staff are not serving others in the bar.Food choice is good with a range of meat, fish and vegetarian options. The burger was very tasty and more recently the seafood curry was delicious. A wide range of drinks choices too. Both food and drinks are pricey and looking at previous reviews the seafood curry has increased by £6 whilst the salt and pepper squid has dropped by £2 so still seems like testing the market.Downside was the restaurant was cold when we got in. The couple on the next table kept their coats on. By the time we left it was warmer with no more people so obviously they turned it up but given the cost that should have been done much earlier.Overall nearly there but just for special occasions.

Popped in for a drink at lunchtime. Seating options downstairs were a bit limited, but service was friendly and drinks selection (and prices) reasonable.

So lucky to sit upstairs - what a view - really nice service, atmosphere and great food - thank you!

Awful coffee, somehow ‘lost’ our order, waited over 50 minutes, rather than prioritising it when they became aware of the mistake, came and said would you like a free drink as there will still be quite a wait! Tables left uncleared for ages, expensive for level of service and food

Great food and attentive service.

The restaurant was empty and it took over an hour for our food to come!! Unbelievably slow!!
