Absolutely lovely venue, lovely drinks menu with a good variety. Staff are fabulous and nothing too much trouble always willing to welcome people with a warm smile. Honestly a little gem in Plymouth centre. Perfect place for pre dinner drinks or before a concert at nearby pavilions or a show at the theatre royal. Popped in on a whim after hearing such good reviews and with the welcome of hearing beautiful singing outside, came in to a lovely clean and vibrant atmosphere, service was exceptional and the singer Roxie won my vote 100%. Had a lovely chat with her after, such a genuine and approachable lady. Thank you Portico for an all round fantastic experience. Will definitely be returning!!!

Conveniently came to put a review after seeing the state of the outside and the service, heard a group talking about how they had been given reaper extract in their shots. We caught up with them not long after and one of the members were struggling breathing because of this. Seems someone from another table has already reviewed it. If that were me they wouldn't have a leg to stand on as I am a solicitor. Unexceptionable behaviour. Will not be returning after witnessing this.

What an amazing hidden gem. A superb little bar where you will always be sure of a warm welcome and a cold cocktail. Kevin (the owner) is a brilliant host and loves to chat away with his guests. All the cocktails are made from scratch- no pre mixers here thank you. If cocktails aren’t your thing they also serve teas and coffees and a pretty good bacon sandwich. Also have a fantastic little sun trap outside, great for the summer- if it appears. So head on down to Portico- I’m confident to say you won’t be disappointed. We certainly weren’t and will definitely be visiting there many more times.

Such a shame this could be a gold mine. Dirty, needs a good clean, bar staff looking bored and scrolling on their phone. Outside area ! Excess furniture lying around, the blackboards would look better written up professionally, rather than scribbles. Not expensive to get so.eone to do that. This place has sooo much potential, and could be so much better.Opening times all over the place. With a bit of money an a lot of tlc this would be great. The owner has obviously given up.

Things have changed here. The new owners/management have renamed the place Portico which will also be a cafe and bar but they have said that they are ditching the previous French theme and concentrating on a wide range of specialist cocktails. We called in today but apart from the new signage the front has fence and boarding so the gap in opening may have a short while to run.

Came in for coffee and bacon sandwich deal . Superb coffee served really hot - Jamie gleefully Tod us that they were voted in top ten coffee houses in Plymouth !! Well deserved !!!
