I was a bit worried after reading a few negative reviews. I needed have worried the service was excellent, the food was good. I had a Jalfrezi, it was different to what I'm used to a Jalfrezi tasting like but it was nice. My wife had tikka masala and that was as you would expect it to be. Its on the expensive side but a nice evening out for a special occasion.

I have to be honest ! This place was recommended so I thought give it a go (big mistake)Very very overpriced poor quality tasteless food. I usually use Nibana or Cinnamon Garden both in Plymouth but sadly used this place. The interior is pretty shabby, seats very worn, waitress scruffy wearing trainers, the food was just pure junk and I never look at prices I just choose my food. Upon asking for the bill for my table I nearly had a heart attack, never ever worth what they charge. Please be careful if yiu decide to go here and make sure you get an agreed overdraft from your bank and have plenty of loo roll for the next day as I’m constantly on the toilet and awaiting results from a sample taken to the doctor !

I’ve visited here 4 times now and the final time asked my partner if This could be last time. I must admit, all the staff are wonderfully friendly and welcoming. But when the owner is not there it is really awkward; like they have no idea what you do in a restaurant. We paid £70 for two kormas that tasted identical to the tikka masala’s, they are extremely sweet. Drinks came without ice and glasses smelt bad, plus it is very awkward being served in here as the heating elements don’t fit on the table. I haven’t tried anything besides tikka masala and korma here but they are terrible.

Have been to this restaurant many times over the years. I have to say that something has changed and it just now makes me feel a little uncomfortable. The food is very good. But the bill was a shock, further inflated by the automatic generous service charge! In my opinion it is now over-priced. I also experienced the bad luck of the card machine not working and had to leave the restaurant in hunt of a cash machine - I see by previous reviews I am not the first! This led to my rating for service because it took the edge off the evening having to sort the cash bill!

Be careful this place likes to overcharge. We were 'forced' to pay more than the advertised prices. When we quirered the bill we were threatened with all sorts of things. Needless to say I will never be going back More

A group of 7 of us went to The Eastern Eye for a sit down meal. The service was ok and the waitress was ok, however… the male who worked there who I presume is the manager wasn’t so good. We all ordered our food which was to an ok standard. The problem is when the manager has charged us for an extra meal, bottled water instead of tap water which was requested and when there were several dishes ordered for medium portion, he has charged us all for large. He added service charge on as well and seemed to boss the waitress around, now I think he was like that with her as she had took our order correctly and he was telling her to add things etc. You will all think why didn’t you notice… well it was a large bill and all 7 of us were drinking that evening and I think the manager took advantage of this. The table was close to the toilets, the room smelt of bleach and it wasn’t a nice experience at all. Be warned and I’d avoid. We won’t be going back again!

We booked for Christmas Eve and couldn’t have been better looked after. Treated like royalty. Gracious and hospitable staff. Genuinely lovely. Each dish explained. Food was AMAZING out of this world delicious. Best ever. Loved the chilled shots at the end. Can’t wait to return. Xx

Lied to about our order. Ordered a delivery, after an hour passed the delivery time we called to be told it had just left for delivery. Called again after 30 minutes to be told there was a mistake and the driver has now just been sent. 30 minutes later we were informed our order was cancelled. This was our go-to Indian, but after this terrible service we will not be back.

Very nice food and served by an incredibly kind and helpful waiter, to then here she had just started working there, we was very impressed. we did not get her name but we remember her being the shorter out of the two women working there, so full credit to her for making our experience even better.
