Popped in for cheesy chips and a pint after a long walk. Dog friendly in the bar

Ordered the steak & ale pie and a Cajun chicken burger and both were fantastic. You could tell that everything had been made in-house. Partner commented that the real ale was good too - nice clean lines he reckoned. We will most certainly be back - thank you for a lovely meal. Open fire was a treat. Dogs also welcome.Parking: behind the pub

Best Sunday roast in a long time! 10 of us and everyone enjoyed their meal - lovely food, friendly service. Was packed as was an unexpected hot spell - garden was full of people enjoying a lovely Sunday ?

Visited the pub after a break of nearly 40 years. Had a factory in Plympton and used to visit here with Reps. Many improvements in the intervening period but that Sunday Lunch with friends was superb. We will be coming again

We visited this evening for a family meal. First time my wife and I have been and will definitely not be the last. My wife’s first glass of wine didn’t taste right, she was happy to drink it but after tasting it, I asked at the bar if they could also taste it as it wasn’t right. I think it could have been a landlord I spoke to, as well as the barman, and it was no trouble at all, they opened another bottle, only to realise the original glass wasn’t quite right, and replaced it. Very friendly, and very helpful. We ordered our food, I had the Chimi Steak and my wife had the Miners Beef Burger. Both meals were delicious, credit to the Chef. My son and his girlfriend also thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. The waitress, I think her name might be Ava, was just the best. Very friendly, helpful and professional service, an absolute credit to the Miners /arms. We travelled up from Cornwall as our son lives in Plympton, and it was well worth the journey. Thank you very much, we’ll see you again soon

Fantastic country pub serving really tasty food and a brilliant selection of drinks. We had a meal on Saturday night that was excellent, and I had The Best mushroom starter dish that I’ve ever tasted ??. The staff were brilliant and welcoming and made us feel at home, thanks for that ?? Was very quiet on Monday evening but we really enjoyed our visit, great drinks, great background music and great chat with the bar staff, made our night perfect! if we ever come back to the area we will definitely call back, 10/10.

Fantastic food. Just had a beef roast and it was one of the best I have had with extra gravy and cauliflower cheese on the side. Great quiet garden. Great park area for children.

Went for a Sunday lunch with my wife the food was great and tasted really nice. The pub itself is a small charming village pub.

Good carvery, some had the beef which I'm told was the best they've had. I ordered Pork, which was Lamb when they brought it out but Lamb wasn't even on the menu so not sure how they managed that

The main restaurant with open views was very nice if a bit warm and bright with the sun on it. Staff were very attentive and friendly and they would get 5 stars. However, this was our visit to this pub based on recommendations and previous reviews billing it as a Gastro pub. That it is not. The menu was basic pub fare ie burger, fish & chips, scampi, pizza, curry , pasta ect and not the same as other menus posted previously. Food we had was ok but probably overpriced for what it was . Two of us had scampi but only around 6 pieces in a basket with some fries and small portion of peas. Not good value at £14.50. Burgers were £15.50. Also for desert two small balls of poor quality ice cream for £4 i thought was also . Overall i think quality and quantity needs to be increased to entice us to return.
