Called to make a booking of 8 people for a Christmas dinner, not only did was the person who was on the phone rude and slow to any response. He proceeded to leave the call to ask the Chef and respond with “we are unable to serve a table of that size”. How do they think they will succeed as a restaurant with that kind of attitude.

What a crackin' little pub. Great beers, great atmosphere and fabulous food. A real hidden gem.Parking: Decent carpark but liable to fill up as is popular place it seems.

Smashing country pub with a good selection of beer on tap, including 2 or 3 real ales.

Great local pub with delicious and reasonably priced food. We were welcomed each time we visited and felt at home here. Visitors and local people use the pub. Service was efficient and friendly. We're looking forward to visiting again

Popped in for a pint of scrumpy a few weeks ago and fancied the food on the menu. We had the brisket, lasagne and rump steak strips with crème brûlée, scrumple and ice cream for desert. All the food was homemade and amazing. Would highly recommend this hidden gem.Vegetarian options: There is a couple of vegetarian optionsParking: Very large carpark opposite the pub

Visited this pub with my good lady and my elderly parents on the recommendations from a couple of friends. We weren’t disappointed. Really welcoming small remote country pub which is really worth seeking out. Staff and locals very friendly and the Sunday lunch was fabulous. And the young lady front of house deserves a special mention as she looked after us well. A great selection of home made desserts on offer, including a range of ice creams, all home-made too! On our drive home we were already talking about going back soon.

Dog friendly and the food was amazing ?

Can't comment on it as a watering hole as most of the friends I used to drink with in there are either banned for providing pure comedy gold or won't set foot inside the place, even when their bans are lifted, unless Andrew Metcalf comes back to run it....

Proper pub used by farm hands and their dogs. Ale in good condition.

Miserable, the landlady didn't seem to want us there. Wouldn't go back
