Great value and excellent food. Definitely would order again or eat in. I love the paper packaging which is very convenient to store in the fridge or eat directly from it. Portions are so big that we ordered menu for two but had dinner and lunch on the next day, still tasted delicious. Very happy. Kokoro used to be a lot better. Tables are dirty and sticky as well as seats. Food depends on the day. Sometimes fresh, sometimes the chicken is dry and hard to chew.

Food quality varies depending on the day. Sometimes the sushi is super fresh and tasty and other times it's a little stale, same goes for the chicken. It's a roulette but can be worth it :)

I had an amazing dining experience at Kokoro Bournemouth today! The Shrimp Gyoza Set and Sweet and Sour Chicken were absolutely delicious. Each bite was a burst of authentic Japanese flavors, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. The ambiance was delightful, and the attentive service added to the overall enjoyment. Kokoro is a gem for anyone craving delectable Japanese cuisine. I'll definitely be returning for more culinary delights!

This is the 2nd Kokoro store we have been to and we love it. Katsu curry with rice/noodles, or sweet chilli chicken is my favourite. Great portion sizes , staff are nice & patient.

Soo disappointed!! First, the place doesn't look like very clean .. second, the food was horrible!! Too sweet with no balance at all plus the sushi that wasn't fresh!! I've got some noodles with chicken as the pork was looking like dirty water and it was impossible to eat all!! £40 as thrown in the bin!! Very poor service also. Do not waist you time and money!!

Ordered a Pumpkin katsu curry, it turned up and the Pumpkin absolutely stank of fish. When I tried it, it tasted fishy - it was very CLEARLY cross contaminated so the kitchen cannot be following food hygiene standards. I've been veggie for 15 years and I know that this tasted wrong, it was fishy. Not in a well it's prepared in a sushi bar so theres fish sround fishy, but clearly been cut on a fish chopping board or the like tasted fishy. Absolutely rancidThey also didn't bother packing the desert we paid for.This was giving them a second chance after last time we ordered they didn't include the katsu SAUCE.1/5, would be 0 if I could due to the clear cross-contamination. I wouldn't recommend, especially to veggies and vegans.Thanks Kokoro, you made a vegetarian cry today. Congrats.Vegetarian options: HORRENDOUS, CONTAMINATED. Food was mostly good, we went near closing time so options were limited but that's on us. Food is halal as noted by certifications on the wall and by asking staff. Staff were nice but they talked more to each other when they were meant to be serving customers. Nice, small but decent portion sizes.

Katsu chicken with rice is the one at this place. Always spot on and great value for money. If you are eating straight away it’s great otherwise ask for the sauce separate as I’d soaks in to food too much

Second time ordering reluctantly as we didn’t think much of it the first time but there weren’t many options for sushi online. So we thought we’d give a second chance and wish we didn’t. Stuff came we didn’t even order. Sashimi was like an after thought it was that measily and the avocado was so hard it was inedible. Looking at the rest of these reviews you guys really need to do better!
