Interesting typical English

Poor ... slow bar service. It is best to use the app. To order. Visited on a Thursday, which was Curry Night, which I enjoyed.

Terrible bar staff, app not working, they ignore the queue and are rude, half roast chicken which arrived in many pieces looking like it had been scraped off the floor. Not going

Banging night out. Disco and a burger? Why not? :)

Right opposite the church where Mary Shelly is buried a wonderful church interior.

Really sad to say I won’t be going back there until they train their staff properly. Very slow service and sometimes you don’t even get a cup unless you ask for it. Absolutely appalling to see how customers are treated nowadays. Moon in the Square provides a much better service.

A very good Wetherspoons as they can vary a lot (e.g. our local Guildford one is a dump). Nice and clean with good staff and the food was good. Definitely would go back.

Popped in with a couple of friends for dinner. Friendly staff, plenty of tables and tasty food. It had a chilled atmosphere. I had the large mixed grill and wasn't disappointed.

One of the best Spoons I've ever been in. Unusually, I didn't have to wait ages to get served. Every time I went to the bar, there was at least one person ready to serve, sometimes 2 or 3, and it was busy. Obviously run by a good manager. It just shows you that Wetherspoon pubs don't have to always be a glorified waiting room!

First and foremost it's a Wetherspoons - so you know what you're going to get.Real ale - not the freshest or best-served pint you've ever had, but reliable. Food - typical pub grub, but ultimately safe. And available from breakfast right through the day.Tables packed tightly into every available square foot of floor space. And an incredibly diverse range of fellow-customers - from pensioners to Spanish teenagers from the language schools. The price of your pint will be at least £1 cheaper than any other pub in town. Your burger or curry likewise won't set you back a lot.And that's what makes this 'spoons absolutely full of customers at 14:00 on a wet Tuesday in late January - just like most of their outlets, I assume. This one isn't a conversion of some magnificent old building, as so many 'spoons are. It's a rather ordinary structure close to St Peter's church. Typical carpeted interior with some big picture windows.Service was good, and the staff pleasant enough. A good range of ales on the pumps too. The Wetherspoons formula continues to prove extremely popular.

I ordered a pint on their app, the young bloke tipped beer all over the place just walking to the table. I asked him if he would top it up. They then left the pint sitting on the bar, when I asked if it was mind they said yes, but I would have to produce the receipt or I can't have it. Job worth morons

Nothing stand-out brilliant - or conversely stand-out bad! Just the familiar JDW experience which was just what we needed today - quick food (pizzas) and decent selection of well priced ales.
