Went with friends for a golf break 2 nights 3 rounds of golf dinner bed breakfast. Golf course was in good condition but the greens where the slowest I’ve ever played on, The course Marshall briefing warned us about lighting greens, I think he means neighbours Ferndown golf club. The twin room was tiny, I’ve come home with bites all over my body head to toe so painful, Breakfast was excellent, dinner pre booked was poor. Pro shop staff rolling there eyes anytime a customer came to the counter, I work in the golf industry not great to see, I felt I was a inconvenience to make them get up of their ass behind the glass wall.!!! This was on several visits to the golf counter. That is it review done now to put cream on these multiple bites.

On arrival we found a large free car park with plenty of available spaces. Check in was fine and the staff were friendly. Although we didn’t use it, the pool and spa facilities looked really nice. The standard room was rather small. Most of the room was taken up by the king sized bed, which was very comfortable. However this meant there were no chairs to sit on. The only seating was a dressing table stool which had to double as a bedside table, as there was only one of these. There was free Wi-Fi, a safe and fridge as well as the usual tea tray etc. Unfortunately the room seemed rather dark and dismal to us. There are superior rooms which I guess are more spacious. The setting is lovely with plenty of outdoor seating. What really spoilt the stay for us was the dinning experience. We had booked a table for 6pm through Open Table. When we were given the menus, one was marked and sticky and obviously had not been cleaned between customers. The menu was very limited and not like the example sent to us by Open Table. Perhaps the hotel need to look into this. My first choice was “off” the menu. I asked for my second choice to be served with a Rose Marie sauce but this was not possible. I gave up and made a third choice. Then I saw the couple at the next table being served my first choice and I remarked to the waitress about this and was told “there were only two portions left”.Left from when, I wondered, as the restaurant had only been open for ten minutes. My husbands meal was spoilt by the amount of dressing that was drowning it. When food was served to another table, something fell off the plate onto the table and was promptly picked up by the server by hand and placed back on the plate. These comments are not a reflection on our waitress who was very pleasant and attentive but we were very disappointed overall. We had a good nights sleep and the bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet during the night. Then we went for breakfast. The breakfast menu on the hotels own website did not reflect what we were offered. We expected to be served at our table (as was the case when a friend stayed there a few months ago). Instead it was buffet style. We had to collect everything ourselves, including tea and toast. The cooked breakfast was under heat lamps but everything looked greasy and unappetising. The kitchen were constantly making lots of bacon baps and while the bacon was tasty, it wasn’t hot. Due to our disappointment with the dinning experience we will not be returning to stay at this hotel.

I had a table in Spikes Restaurant booked for 9 people. Half an hour before everyone was due to arrive. The team at Spikes CANCELLED the booking. What a disgusting service we had nowhere to go and the Birthday event was ruined. WE DIDN'T EVEN RECEIVE AN APOLOGY

Very enjoyable golfing stay for 2 nights. Rooms was very clean and well decorated. Shower was clean and very hot water. Golf shop staff very friendly and helpful. Good sized car park with plenty of parking. Course was in good condition. Would recommend for individual golfers or societies. Meals were nice and hot and the serving staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Good beers.

Stayed here for 1night over Jubilee weekend and our double room was nice, clean, tidy and as described. The pool and spa area was really nice touch and inclusive breakfast was decent too. I must compliment the staff and hence 5* rating as they were really helpful and when we realised we left an item of clothing in room after we checked out, we called and they found and send in post the next day. Excellent service and hotel is great value for money i thought. Thank you

From the minute we entered the hotel the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was perfect. The room was modern and clean with a fantastic shower. Breakfast was lovely overlooking the golf course. The spa is a great addition with a good size pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Very clean and plenty of sun loungers to soak up the sun through the glass roof. Only 9 miles from the beach, we will definitely be returning.

Superb weekend of golf at Dudsbury. Course was excellent. Evening meals really good. All staff everywhere were friendly. We will return for another stay. Not sure if a pint of Peroni from the pump is expensive at £6.85 ?

This was a gift from my best friend for my 40th and it was perfect! Lisa was amazing from the moment we arrived, literally couldn’t do enough for us, even though she was on her own all day. The spa was so relaxing, treatments were lovely and the lunch was delicious. Would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be back! Hats off to Lisa x

Been staying here all week, the service has been very good, the food has been excellent. The chefs breakfast is immense, the service and attention from Jon behind the bar and also Jason is true hospitality. The Spa is nice and relaxing, my room is spotless, bed is very large and comfortable. Bathroom is spotless. Even in very challenging times they have delivered exceptional service at little more than holiday inn prices. I am very very impressed and would highly recommend this place. My only regret is I don’t have my clubs as I’m working!

Had a lovely time at the spa today. Booked for my daughters birthday last year and cancelled a couple of times due to covid. A very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Great place to stay, had to stay over in the area for work, stayed with my work colleagues, had a brilliant night, very friendly staff, competitive prices and great rooms and food.
