This is now called The Cabin ,within Wardon Hill Trading Post.We went at lunchtime .They cater very well for people who have special diets. My wife suffers from Coeliac disease so has to have Gluten Free food,no wheat in it.The menu here can be adapted to suit any diet. She had the cauliflower cheese which had a small side salad. She said it was piping hot ,lots of cauliflower with a thick cheese sauce.I had the Ploughmans with 3 mains ie Ham,Taw Valley cheddar and Stilton.Large slabs of both the cheeses and 2 slices of ham accompanied by a fresh salad, pickle and pickled onions and a brown roll.We had pot of tea and Americano coffee.£27 for everything. The lady who served us was cheerful and chatty and enjoyed her job. They have toilets and its all on the flat.

What a lovely place!! Had a fantastic cream tea, huge , I had to bring a scone home! Really nice china, settees and atmosphere. Walked around the Emporium which was also very good. A fitting end to our weekend away in south Dorset

Never have I ever been charged for tap water before! Food was very average & since when did a cream tea come without tea? That was extra!! Cauliflower cheese tasted like frozen cauliflower cooked in water with cheese in garlic bread was toast buttered with lumps of garlic in …… a totally unpleasant visit

Had a lovely meal here. Staff amazing and great service. We all had the light breakfast. The cakes looked delicious. A must visit. 10 out of 10. Will be vack.

We explored emporium, intriguing, thought a nice snack & drink would be welcome before going home! Staff off hand , almost rude, No hot food available, only cake ! It was only just 2pm. Wont be going there again. Several other people got same treatment, dont they want your buisness?

This is the second time I've been here for lunch. The food cannot be faulted. It is delicious and well presented and the portion size us good. The staff have excellent customer service skills. Although I didn't have cake, the cakes on the counter look absolutely perfect. I would strongly recommend this cafe.

I waited over an hour for my food and leftWe went to the cafe as we thought it would be fairly quick and we had heard their food was quite good. When we arrived there were three or four small parties (less than 4 people in each) one of whom left minutes after we arrived. The party who sat down just before us had had their food and we’re nearly done when we had to leave for an appointment. When we told the staff that we had to go their response was “but your ticket is next”. Not sure what they meant by this as people who had sat down and ordered after us had got their food already.I have decided not to go there again as I have no other recourse available to me.

Stopped off for a mooch around the Emporium. Lots of china and trinkets with many pretty hand made purses and other items. More organised and less eclectic than some of the emporiums we have visited. Dog was welcome inside on a lead (we had to watch her waggy tail a bit!) Garden centre was small but had a nice selection of suculents and some perenials. Stopped at the cafe for a BLT and jacket potato which were both very nice, the salad was fresh and crisp too. Only disappointment was I did not have room for one of their lovely looking cakes! (Gluten free options were available and looked lovely too).

Tea room situated within an Antiques and Collectables centre as well as a small garden centre. Very nice ambience and atmosphere. Tables are laid nicely, it all had a homely feel despite it being a relatively large area.Staff are friendly, will bring your purchases to the table and there is ample parking. The café is also easily accessible, situated off an A road.I have not tried any snacks/cakes there.I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the a) plastic flowers on the table (looked very life like but I can't stand that, especially with a garden centre nearby...I would rather have no flowers) and the somewhat insipid Cafe Latte (tea is good).
