Every now and then you just decide to pop into a restaurant without checking the reviews and you have a lovely surprise!! Friendly welcome for all the family, warm cosy Christmas atmosphere, quick but relaxed service and really delicious food, catering for all dietary requirements and preferences. We absolutely loved our pizzas and the authentic ice-cream for dessert was superb. This was a special part of our holiday and we hope to return one day. Highly Recommended.

Since moving back to Poole six weeks ago I have eaten in Pizzeria Valona four times on the most recent occasion with two friends who loved the food as much as I do. The food is fresh well presented and great value I strongly recommend the bruschetta and the pizza's. The staff are all very friendly and customer focused, I strongly recommend you pay them a visit.

Have been twice in the last 4 months and about to book again for a third visit - so definitely gets our thumbs up! It ticks all of our boxes -- dog-friendly and they can do a gluten-free pizza for me - so we are so glad we found it. Though I can't eat it, the home made bread for starters always goes down a treat with everyone else and the piizzas are lovely with a good choice of toppings. Surroundings are simple but staff attentive. This is our go-to place when visiting the granchildren as they love it too.

Arrived to a place where the music was for the staff, the flashing Christmas lighting oppressive and the noise level high., As we were the only two in there and the menu seemed lacklustre, we decided to leave our drinks and go elsewhere, having little appetite for the place or the staff who were a little too pushy about our decision to leave, having completely ignored the fact that there were customers in the restaurant.

We were staying in Poole on holiday and we wanted an evening meal at an authentic Italian restaurant. Reviews were excellent so we thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed. Three of us had the lasagne which was utterly delicious and one had the marinara pizza which was amazing. Lovely atmosphere authentic Italian music which was beautiful. Staff were very polite and friendly. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.

Honestly absolutely zero areas of potential improvement from us. Service from the two waitresses was friendly, quick and efficient - and they were both clearly very patient. the salad starter, home-made lasagne and chicken/pepperoni pizza dishes were 10/10. It was genuinely a perfect meal experience. When we next visit Poole, we will be back. Thank you to the chef and waiting staff :)
Delightful environment, excellent cocktail and delicious vegan pizza. I love that there's an option to get vegan pizza with 3 toppings of your choice on the menu!Also, the service was kind, considerate and generally outstanding. I really hope the bosses give their staff 100% of the service charge that was included in my bill, because they deserve it.Dietary restrictions: Great vegan options, and customisable pizzas.

We walked in the door and were met with the authentic aroma and ambiance of Italy. The pizzas were superb, proper Italian pizza, delicious, washed down with a bottle of Moretti. Would highly recommend

We actually walked past this place numerous times before and finally decided to drop by. What more can I say besides that the pizza was incredible and the service spot on. The menu is very reasonably priced and we were happy to see a good range of gluten free + veggie options too. We’ll definitely be coming back.
