We had a great evening celebrating a family 80th birthday. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was excellent as always. Our first time visiting Poole rockfish as previously been to Weymouth rockfish. The rest of our party were also very impressed with our restaurant choice for the occasion. Nice little touch with the rockfish birthday card too.

2 of us went here for my Birthday treat having had a good experience at Rockfish Plymouth in the past. It was quite busy for a Monday but having been given a table we thought that the restaurant could cope. We were served drinks relatively quickly but waited a long time for food. The Whitebait starter was enjoyable and went down well. the Main course, the Platter of "Fruits de Mar" was tasty and of good quality but a little disappointing in terms of portion size - 1 salad and strangely 1 bread roll to share despite the £37.50 per person pricetag. The staff forgot the Portland Oysters which we had to ask another staff member for, we were also given a free portion of chips which was nice but a little late. We went to pay the bill and the drinks were not on the tab. Being honest we mentioned this to the 3rd staff member serving us that evening - she promptly added them to the bill. We paid and after paying the original staff member said "Oh we had taken the drinks off of the bill as a gesture of goodwill" - It would have been nice to have been told this and for it to have been mentioned to the other staff members! When we left we were told to come back another time and they would give us the free drinks then!Food pleasant enough but under staffed!

Had came here for lunch in the summer, although the place looks lovely and in a perfect position with sea views the staff didn’t serve us without us asking to be served. The food itself was lovely and fresh, although quite pricey for what we had. All in all would say a ok experience and would somewhat recommend for fish lovers if visiting the area.

The prawn cocktail starter was very good but I would have liked some bread with it. The scallop starter would be better if served with a sauce. We went for tacos and fritto misto, in hindsight I would have gone for fish of the day, which comes with a choice of sides.

Very pretty restaurant, lovely atmosphere and we all had a fantastic meal. Went with three young children which seemed very welcome and who enjoyed their delicious fish & chips a lot. We had the calamari, the mussels and halibut. All flawless. Everyone enjoyed the salad and the unlimited chips with curry sauce and aioli. Outstandingly friendly staff. Would definitely recommend it.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu and very good quality food. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Spacious restaurant.
Went here today and it was just amazing. Service was top drawer and the food was outstanding. Started with the king prawns and scallops, both beautiful and for mains had gurnard and monkfish, again superb. Felt clean, modern and is a very appealing place to dine. I would happily visit again and would recommend anyone reading this to also.
