Being James Martin fans, we were so looking forward to our visit, and we weren't disappointed. From the moment we arrived we had a warm welcome from the Maître d' (sorry didn't get your name), who ensured throughout the evening everything was OK.Our waitress Judit was lovely, very efficient, explained items on the menu for us, and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great evening. The food was amazing, very tasty, presented well, with a good variety on the menu.We had an amazing time, from the minute we got there, until the time we left, we will definitely be returning.

Curry’s of the World-Cooking Class 13/03/20241st Class Experience from the moment I walked in the door.On arrival, I was shown to the table of other people on the course. Coffee and pastries ready. This was a lovely touch. Luckily everyone was so friendly and chatty. On arrival after being shown to a cooking area we had an intro by head chef Gerry or Jerry. So full of enthusiasm and knowledge. He made everyone feel so relaxed. He’s kinda funny aswell (just saying) his additional comi chefs were so helpful. This put everyone totally at ease. The ingredients were so fresh, the course was structured perfectly and the cooking was amazing. No scrimping on ingredients.I learnt so much and the help and tuition from the staff was second to none.1st rate experience and a thank you to the other people on the course who we’re so friendly. What a great day!!

"From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave care and attention is made to every detail. Waiters/waitresses are very knowledgeable and love to chat with you. Our second visit here and just as good this time round. Food is lovely and cooked/served with the care it deserves. Thank you to all that work there and James, for creating an amazing menu and a lovely relaxed restaurant"

First time at the Kitchen, and nothing but praise for the place. It goes without saying that the food was excellent, but couple that with very attentive staff, and exemplary service, and you are onto a winner. I cannot recommend the Kitchen highly enough.

Would I recommend you to a friend??? I already have, and planning our next summer visit to try the pizzas!!! It’s so rare to find a venue that the whole family enjoys and the Kitchen came up trumps on food, service and ambience!! Special comment on the service and especially Sheryl who made our experience particularly enjoyable- attentive, whilst not overbearing, making my mother in laws 70th birthday particularly memorable!! Thank you all so much for a wonderful afternoon that was thoroughly enjoyable!!

I think this restaurant would be lovely in the warmer months! The night we visited it was very chilly weather, but the food was good and service great. Portion size was generous for starters and mains and staff were very attentive. Star was the N’duja and artichoke pizza - superb!!

Was there for lunch today.Service highly disappointing.Manager not cooperative.Food was late and cold.Didn't get table attention until being called and they were busy with others all the time. Was'nt asked by manager if everything is fine neither was thanked at the end of lunch for coming.Disgraceful service. Food, drinks and service were excellent. Both of the ladies toilets were badly in need of a clean.

This was the first time that I have had the opportunity of visiting The Kitchen with a group of friends. Some had mentioned that the afternoon tea had been disappointing, but the Festive Lunch looked delicious and a great way to kick off Christmas. Unfortunately I was decidedly underwhelmed. The Service by our waitress was excellent however. It wasn't until I got home that I realised the Amuse Bouche had not been served! My starter of roast butternut squash and sage risotto was very nice. The Main; Roasted Herb-Crusted salmon, had no herb-crust! The portion size was good but I was completely underwhelmed. A dish like this could have been served anywhere. All my friends that had this dish remarked the same. The Festive Kitchen Apple was nice. The time between each course was too long. The restaurant was busy but we were there at 1:00 and didn't leave until 4:30 and even then I had to get up and go to pay. It was a good job the company was excellent!I will, however mention briefly the fact that one of our ladies waited a long time for her dessert. In fact, we had nearly finished by the time hers arrived. It was clear the apple compote had been put into the microwave as when she touched the jug it was red hot and the compote already on the apple burned her mouth! This was raised to the waitress and then to the Maître d'. The way this was handled was completely unacceptable. Not even an apology. However, I will let her take this up with management. In finality, it is unlikely that I will return.
