Sorry but if you accept my order and payment then delivery is expected not cancelled with the excuse it was out of area. Maybe change your app, if that's the case, so it doesn't accept n order which is 'out of your delivery area'! I was looking forward to the food after reading reviews and even included a good tip. Sort it!

Has become our go to place for fish & chips, the food is reasonably priced and quality is good as well.The only caveats are that the shop is cash only. (there is a cash machine in the shop next door but still a minor faff) and the times we have ordered online for delivery it has taken well over the estimated time and more often than not we have had to ring the place to check they haven't lost our order. Normally the reasons given for the delay are pretty weak but I have to say this is the only downside of the place. Service in the store itself is good and wait times aren't too bad.The take-away for this review is you'll be better off going to get your food, just make sure you have cash or get it out on the way!Parking: Parking is a 30 second walk and shared with the other businesses. Free to park.

I pre ordered my fish n chips as I know they cook fresh. Young person on the phone was polite but didn't get my name. Went to collect young person wasn't rude but not overly friendly and no smile. Fish was amazing as usual ? but chips weren't upto usual standard. Maybe the potatoes aren't great at the moment?

Food not cooked correctly. Chips weren't that hot and one of the two pies was stone cold in the middle. The pastry top of both pies was rock hard when it should be light and fluffy and soft to bite in to. Not sure how they cook the pies but nowhere near as good as other chip shops. This isn't the first time I've had pies like this from Caviar Plaice but thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and try again... Sad to say this but I will go elsewhere from now on :( The girl serving me was very pleasant though.

Excellent fish and chips at a good price. Not greasy, great chips and lovely fresh fish in a light crisp batter. Great friendly staff too. A bonus is the ample easy, free parking.Parking: Easy parking with one way in and one way exit.

Popped in here on my way home, it is not my usual chippy. On arrival I was informed they only take cash, which is strange in this day and age. I cheerfully found the right money and happily waited around 3 mins for a large portion of chips. I was looking at my phone when the young lady hollered 'large chips!!'. Because I did not leap to my feet immediatey, around a second later she shouted even louder and rather aggressively 'LARGE CHIPS!!!' Strange as I was the only person in there, a friendly 'here are your chips' would have been fine. Anyway, I shall go back to using my usual friendly place, up the road, with no shouting and bigger portions. The chips were ok though.
