We tried their fish and chips, quite bland to be honest. I have tried much better fish and chips at local food courts. Prices were exuberantly high. The only plus is the location, as it is just infront of the sea side.Would never visit again.

Really good fish and chips, had a lovely cooked fresh cod and could share the large between two which they even did for us.Also had very nice mushy peas.Would recommend to tak for evening dinner or to sit on the beach and feast.

I went to the Weymouth Bike Night from Sherborne on my bike with my son on his bike. Popped into this chippy as it smelt nice and it was dinner time. So in we went and I ordered fish and chips twice please. Then came the shocker "That'll be £23.90 please'" To which I replied, "Cancel the order, I'm not paying that much for two lots of fish and chips." Someone in the queue looked at me and said "It's a sign of the times." To which I replied, "It might be a sign of the times but these are more expensive than London prices." Absolute robbery!!! I can get fish and chips twice and of much better quality for just over half that about 20 miles away in Sherborne at The Abbey Friar. So my advice is, if you're in Weymouth and want Fish and Chips, drive to Sherborne and get them and you will still save money and not feel like you've been mugged!!!

Poor doesn’t cover it. Just shy of £20 for two portions of chips, one cod and a jumbo battered sausage. Rather pricey. Firstly the chips were ok. Asked for loads of salt and vinegar (for some reason this place doesn’t trust people putting their own on). And, the lady hardly put any on. Slumped two steaming hot cartons in front of me and expected me to carry home without a bag (steam coming out the sides). I asked if she had a bag. And reluctantly she dug one out (shouldn’t they be given as a matter of course). Got back home to revel the worst, without a doubt, batter I have ever seen. Batter? More like butter. It had no ‘crisp’ to it whatsoever. I then cut into the sausage to see the worst, grey, uncooked sausage ever. I swear the kiss of life would’ve brought it back. Needless to say. I wasted nearly £4 on a sausage I didn’t eat. My wife ate most the cod, but is still chewing on the batter an hour later. Customer service skills zero Value zero Food quality (other than the chip which were ok) zero PS buy some carrier bags so your customers can carry their dinner home.

Best fish and chips ever! Even do kids' portions presented in a seaside bucket. Very busy during the day, but closes at 9pm, probably to stop them robbing the trade from the town centre ?

Cannot rate atmosphere as resturant closed. Used takeaway.Staff very friendly and professional, food was excellent, takeaway is served in cardboard box and with a meal wooden disposable knife, fork etc. There is a bucket and spade offer for children that looks fun and good value.Kid-friendliness: Bucket and spade offer, visit to see!

The cod was super fresh, soft and flaky with beautiful crispy batter. The chips were golden but ever so slightly under cooked. Still a most enjoyable lunch.

serive is fine nothing crazy, turn around time was about 8 or 10 minutes for a cod and chips with a tango which costed me £15. Then I saw my fish and it wasn't even a cod fillet but what looked like a battered sausage shape. Taste wasnt great it was leaking moisture everywhere into the box so its frozen fish likely.. not great but chips are good.

Amazing fish and chips and reasonably priced, a real shame you cannot dine in any more!

Chips were good, only annoying part was that I payed the overpriced amount for a small tub of curry sauce for 1.99 - when opened, it all come out in one blob, seems like it was microwaved or left out. For that price of fish n chips I would expect the dishes to be fresher.

Great spot for tea, right on the sea front, can get busy as it was one of the only places open at the time. Only a small place take away only at the time we went, plenty to choose from. Kids meal can come in a bucket to keep with a spade too which was a nice idea. Be careful of the seagulls if you eat outside as they will snap your chips right up.

I Popped in to grab tea for 5 after a very hectic tiring fun first day here in weymouth. It was pricey! At £48 which it was almost double the price we pay back home (£26). Also portion size was at least half what you would get from a chippy back home, but it is always smaller at the seaside so was expected. Food quality was good. Chips (with scratchings) were lovely and we could not fault. Everyone commented how good they tasted. I'm told the chicken nuggets were lovely. The steak & kidney pies were hit n miss as they were not pukka pies like most chippies sell, so they did actually have kidney in lol. I ended up eating most of the kidneys...yum. The fish at just under £8 was absolutely tiny. Easily a quarter of the size of my local chippy, so i felt ripped off.....however, it was absolutely beautiful. One of the tastiest and nicest pieces of cod I have ever had. I'm not sure what it is cooked in, but it was delicious. I wish the piece was larger, but i would take quality over quantity every time. I definitely felt happier after I had tasted it.....if only it was bigger. We would 100% return.

My 8 year old son asked me to rate this chip shop 10/10 as he absolutely loved their Bucket and Spade kids meals - we ate from here twice during our holiday. He loved that he could have his nuggets and then could go straight down on the beach and dig big holes and build sandcastle. The adults ate cod and chips (no buckets sadly) the fish was a good size and cooked to perfection and the chips were delicious - just the right amount of crunchy bits and fluffy middles. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
