Lovely food, well prepared and the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu didn't have a huge choice, but what was available, was more than enough.

Such a wonderful Christmas day. The staff very efficient and catered to our needs. All were friendly ,helpful, and hard working. We are staying 6 nights and will definately use the Brewers Fayre again.Paul is a fantastic manager. Helped us and was very kind, funny and was on the go all the time. There was a medical emergency and Paul handled it very well. Well trained in such an incident. We will definately come here again as we were made to be truly welcomed. From table 23 Paul and Lynette

Paul is an excellent Manager. Very efficient, knowledgeable, funny, thoughtful. He managed his staff well.Despite having a bad foot he soldiered on without any moaning or complaining. He was very customer focused the whole time. The welcome we got was second to none. See you again soon Paul. Keep up the good work and happy new year to you and your staff.Lynette and Paul

I visited the restaurant on christmas day with some friends and family and whilst the food had a long wait it was okay but seemed very understaffed. Very little staff considering it was extremely busy and Xmas day. Some of the girls were amazing, Caitlin and Lily in particular were super lovely and calm considering the circumstances and made our trip pleasant. However some other staff were not helpful and didn’t seemed to be prepared for such a busy day. I would like to come back on another day as I did enjoy the place itself but I just hope there will be more staff as I can imagine it was very overwhelming for them and especially on a day where it’s meant to be special.

Came here on Christmas Day with my family. There was a long wait at the door and staff was rushed off their feet as there was not enough of them on shift at all. We was served at the bar by Caitlin who seemed to be overwhelmed but was absolutely lovely and very considerate. She was chatty with us and the customers before us to the extent that she could be during the time of serving them and smiled through the craziness that was going on. Lily served our food to us and was an amazing waitress. She was clearly rushed off her feet as well and both of them feeling the pressure that was on them due to the lack of staff. The food was okay, we got what we ordered however there was a fairly long wait for food to be delivered, which can be expected when there’s next to no staff on shift so we completely understood and Caitlin offered us a drink to apologise for the wait on the food. The manager was lovely but frantic and seemed extremely overwhelmed as well as he had the day to run as well as dealing with a medical emergency. Overall not a bad experience but just need more staff to handle such a busy time of the year and such an important day.

My wife and I, had booked and prepaid for a Christmas lunch, we had preselected our menu choices weeks before. On the day we were told that because of staff shortages and an emergency medical incident occuring earlier in the day that there would be a long delay in receiving our starters. We also didn't get our choice of main meal, as there was only a carvery available which was not what we had booked, The carvery itself was appalling, the food was microwaved reheated and lukewarm. The Turkey was so dry as to be virtually inedible, and the vegetables were sitting in not very warm water, the sprouts were rock hard and the gravy was lumpy. As a consequence we ate very little of the meal. We had to twice ask for our choice of deserts, when we did receive the deserts they were not what we had booked. There was also insufficient cutlery for the number of diners. Drinks were served in any glass available, not necessarily the correct ones. The staff were extremely overworked, the manager seemed clueless and not particularly helpful. He accepted no blame or responsibility for the dreadful service or cooking.

Awful, main and starter served at the same time, returned main whilst we ate starter, returned having been microwaved, popadum rubbery. Bar manager didn’t have a clue which glass drinks should be served in. Only positive was our waitress Jodie was friendly and very professional

We travelled especially to enjoy a Christmas dinner in the Brewers Fayre Lodmoor. I cannot believe how terrible our experience was. The staff were not helpful, the food was diabolical, frozen sprouts left floating in luke warm water and the meat thrown onto plates in chunks by a not very happy chef. They had a medical emergency in the venue which they continually told us about as an excuse for terrible service. People were leaving without desserts because they just couldn't wait any longer. Tables were not cleared and when we complained to the manager about the unacceptable food and service he found it amusing. Avoid this establishment. They do not have the staff or knowledge to cater for a Christmas lunch. We have already paid for breakfast when we booked our Premier inn room but needless to say, we will not be putting ourselves through such terrible ordeal again and will go straight home instead.

We booked and paid for a Christmas experience directly with the manager who assured us we would not be disappointed and would be looked after on this special occasion. In the event my wife’s choice of food.booked and paid for in advance was not available and instead of salmon she had to have a carvery- not her favourite choice of food. The staff were apologetic but we were unable to talk to the manager to express our displeasure and ask for redress.

Waited an hour for starter's that we had to chase up. They came out burnt and over cooked. Waited a further half hour after being told 5 minutes for main. They didn't come, so we asked for a refund and ate somewhere else! I never complain but this was a joke. Would never recommend or go back.

Hardly any staff. Had to wait ages to get served. As usual only one coffee machine working. That ran out of coffee. No spoons. No sugar. Gravy all over counter by coffee machine. Staff did see but wasn't bothered. Still like it one hour later.

Ordered a mixed grill. Didn't take long to arrive. Looked nice but was stone cold. The food must of been pre_cooked as it arrived too quick . The staff serving were lovely and totally understood and agreed, and remedied it with a refund and apology.

Went for roast dinner on Sunday, not a patch on the old days, dirty tables, very few staff, man on carvery rude, got the scrag end of beef, chewy and sinewy, no idea why theg cant do some nice cabbage of greens on the carvery, just peas, not nice. Very disappointing visit, guy behind bar very nice. The guy on carvery nearly throwing plates of meat at guests. Very sad to see the place so unloved, this used to be packed on a Sunday afternoon. Please sort it out ?

We booked breakfast and dinner though the hotel, we asked for a 7am breakfast booking so we could leave early, we were not informed that the restaurant only opens at 7am and when we arrived at 7am to locked doors the restaurant was only opened at 7.10. The service was horrible, we were not greeted nicely, no one checked if we were ok and the eggs were not fully cooked. It was an overall bad experience. It's sad because the ambiance was really nice.
