“Went this evening for a meal seriously disappointing chips were not cooked properly my partners chicken was tough . The drinks were OK my first coke tasted OK my second tasted like dispersible aspirin. The lady who served us was good other staff extremely loud and messing about . On the windowsill we discovered old food we won't be returning”

“There is nothing I can fault about this place. We have been coming as a couple regularly and tonight celebrated my husbands 40th birthday here. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and handled the large number in our party with ease. The food, as usual, was absolutely delicious and the staff attentive and friendly. You have to go here if you are in the area, you won’t regret it. Thank you to all of the staff, great food, great atmosphere, great night!”

“Seamed a decent locals pub just off to side of old council buildings and harbour. Only had a round in passing (not the cheapest)... but a friendly couple of kids on bar....”

“Excellent pub nestled on a side street just off from the marina so slightly less busy than some of the other pubs. We got chatting to some of the friendly locals and started to feel like part of the scene!Great quality ales on too and at decent prices. Would highly recommend a visit and would love a place like this to be my local!”

“We are no strangers to Weymouth or the area of this establishment yet we had no knowledge of it until a recommendation from a family member . We tried calling prior to book a table but there was no answer so we decided to head over there as it’s not far from where we were staying. On arrival we asked for a table and the first the member of staff we met with was rather dismissive and told us they were fully booked and couldn’t possibly fit us in even though there were empty tables. I did explain we’d tried calling ahead but no none had responded. My wife again asked given it was half empty and another member of staff had a look at the bookings and found us table that we could have for a couple of hours which was more than enough time for us so we were seated and opted for the carvery . The meat , vegetables and gravy were all of very good quality and tasted absolutely delicious! They didn’t skimp on the portions like some places have previously dined at. While we were dinning the venue started to fill up and we also noted they offered a take away option which seemed to be very popular which also made us wonder why the first member of staff who wasn’t interested in accepting our custom did not at least offer this to us , further customer focused training required perhaps ! It was very reasonably priced when taking into account we also both had drinks with our meals . The venue itself was clean , tidy and had a great ambiance and from what could tell is a very old building which added to its charm. We’d happily dine there again and I’m willing to over look the rather dismissive attitude of the first staff member we encountered as the second one was the complete opposite in terms of their approach to customer service which I commented on before we left.”
