Nice sports bar on the harbour

Very disappointed with the quality of food. Peri peri chicken & bbq chicken purchased. Slice of burnt chicken breast served with sauces very acidic limp leaves & cucumber as salad dressing. Edible were the fries although small in quantity. Obviously a good venue for drinking and music. Unfortunetly we then had to eat elsewhere. Would not return any time soon.

Been here a few times now, always had amazing service. First time we came cocktails weren’t great (taste wise) but we gave it a second chance today and the bar staff Bella and both Kyles have been amazing. Cocktails are super yummy and service on point. Such a friendly vibe! Even got a free crème eggs, thanks guys. Today has been fab!

The food was quite nice, the atmosphere was alright but it was the service we received that gave us the best impression and why we would want to come back, we were served by Kyle and he was lovely, amazing

Booked bottomless supper for my twin sisters 21st and it was outstanding! The food was great, the attentive staff meant we were never waiting for a drink, truly brilliant!Shout out to Narysse too who did an absolutely amazing job with the decorations I dropped in. Really took her time and thought about it. She and the team went above and beyond!!

What can I say that's good about this place? Terrible, embarrassing infact the workers are mostly children and are incredibly rude. It's like a chimps tea party in there. The food is horrible, tastes like cow poo. The manager I suspect has down syndrome or something as he cannot talk properly. Idiot the wait was very long, children crying all the time.

I visited yesterday for the first time with a group of 14, just after 1pm. we had pre booked the table a week in advance as we had a something to celebrate. We were greeted by a blonde member of staff in her 20s who showed us to a small table with reserved on it. As I mentioned there was 14 of us and the table could comfortably fit 10. We had said that we couldn’t fit and she said yes you can. We couldn’t, and two of us had to stand! She could see they were standing and no alternative was offered. She came over to take our order with “what do you want” instead of any pleasantries. The two that were standing took a seat on the table next to us, and she shouted over not to sit on that table… but still offered no alternative! The food was great and beer tower was a nice touch, but the service was enough to not come back again. It was my friends stag do and we were all really embarrassed about the service.I don’t understand why we were treated poorly from the moment we entered, and it really impacts the other staff that would have done a good job behind the scenes because a cover of 14 won’t return this time, but I’m sure if this happens frequently more people will refuse to return.I really hope this feedback can be used to coach the staff member and potentially the wider team on how to deal with large group bookings.

Mel is absolutely fantastic as the new hostess of the ‘Oak’. Between herself and the rest of the staff it is an absolute joy to call this my ‘Local’. Peter.
