After coming here for many years, we were shocked at the standard of the Sunday Lunch, the meat slices were 1mm thin, and we found out that that's because it's under new ownership. I doubt anyone returns now.

We ate there twice and had different meals every time (wessex steak, Caribbean chicken, salmon, and the seafood linguine) all the food was amazing and the staff were fantastic. We never felt rushed and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend the seafood linguine, this was exceptional

Had the best Sunday lunch that I’ve had in a long time. Agreed by all others in the group. Generous portions from served carvery. Very lovely waitress. Absolutely recommend this place for Sunday lunch

Very very disappointed in their attitude to punctual customers. We’d booked a table for 8pm and arrived at 7.55pm only to be told that a table with a lot of people on it hadn’t yet ordered so we couldn’t now order until possibly after 9pm. Why on earth we should have to wait because of other inconsiderate diners was beyond us so of course we left. Wouldn’t bother again.

Had a fabulous meal. Lovely being not in a branded chain restaurant. Food was delicious. Caribbean chicken and Louisiana chicken. Very plentiful and tasty. Waitress was very friendly and they were very busy. Just a perfect place. We came 2 years ago and it was great then so glad it’s not changed. We will be back if in the area.

Excellent food friendly and efficient service despite being really busy being a Saturday night. Recommend the scallops really good value for money. Thank you galley for a memorable evening.

Really disappointed in my experience. Came here years ago and was so impressed but gone down hill. Loads of staff just standing behind the bar chatting , starter over cooked and main was supposed to be a fish dish with only 3 prawns

We booked a table here which you have to do via phone as they don't have the facility to book on their website. The place was quite quiet when we arrived only about 2 or 3 tables with people at in the entrance section which we were put in. We were put by the door and when asked whether we could sit at another same size table they refused which was quite poor attitude when none of these tables were taken while we were there. We ordered drinks which I had a local beer which was nice. I had the standard carvery which was choice of 2 out of 3 available meats and selection of veg. The veg and gravy is put on the plate for you which you tell the person what you want (you can ask for more). There is a small table near the bar which has the condiments on such as mustard, cranberry sauce etc. I had turkey and beef which both meats were good. Overall the food was good, service could have been better, (there seemed to be a lot of staff just standing around by the bar chatting the entire time). The place is nice decor. The place seemed clean.

Went for a Family occasion on Wednesday evening. Had a delicious meal. Service was excellent, really nice ambience. It was busy but not loud. Would certainly recommend and definitely will be going back.

I tip my hat to the chef. I ordered the mules and they tasted beautiful Surf&Turf steak - tasted fantastic. Turtle bay wine - wonderful The staff and service - great. Thank you everyone. Wonderful meal.

Located near Weymouth harbour, the restaurant is very nicely presented. I ordered a soft shell crab dish as a starter, however, the portion was not so much novelle cuisine, more hunt the meat. Considering the location, this was an embarrassing offering, to the extent that the kitchen probably nipped outside and stole a crab from a child's pot! As a main the beef Wellington had decent flavours, albeit the fillet was palpably overcooked. Surely such a signature dish should not be on the menu if chef is unable to prepare meat to the requisite medium rare standard. The waitress was unable to comment as she "didn't eat meat", the manageress, whilst appearing to be sympathetic, merely offered to pass my comments on for future reference. I would strongly advise potential customers to think again before using this establishment.

Been here on holiday for 2 weeks and had two meals there one of which was the Sunday carvery which was easily the best I have ever had (and believe me I’ve tried a few).We booked while there for later in the week had three courses and was actually better in particular the Monkfish was amazing. If your in Weymouth and near Hope square do not walk passed trust me it’s worth it!!!

Love this place, food is excellent. Okay a wait for food when you have booked but good things take time, worth the wait. On holiday so won’t see you for another year. Great staff.
