Amazing food and service from the staff tonight, made sure we had everything we need before, after and during our meal. Safe to say we will be back again very soon.

Whoever the chef is - he/she deserves a medal. The food here really is top drawer and worth far more the prices they are charging. All the other staff are really good too, and the pub has a nice chilled ambiance and is really clean and well appointed

By complete chance driving south we dropped into the Chester Moor and we were very impressed by the service and the freshly cooked food. Would recommend it to everyone. Maybe we will be back one day too.

Called in today and we were greeted by 2 lovely young lads we hadn't booked but were seated straight away and in a few minutes we had drinks and had ordered food. We haven't been here for quite a while but the pub has had a massive refurb, totally different looks really stunning. Not usually one for taking foodie photos BUT when our food arrived we both grabbed our phones. Food was beautiful, Cod and a Parmo, homemade chips & fresh salad, both large portions we were absolutley stuffed! Staff were really friendly, it's a gorgeous pub and fab food. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

Went last week for Sunday lunch. Never been to the North East before and we had been disappointed with the pubs so far. This is a very friendly, spotlessly clean pub, with cheerful welcoming bar staff. We both had the turkey roast which was exceptional value, swilled down with a couple of pints of local beer. By far the best pub we went in over the long weekend we were there.

Booked for an early evening meal for my dads birthday (we only go out 3/4 times a year together) choosing a place with a good selection of vegan options due to one of the party being vegan. On arrival was told they could only do a turkey dinner or sausage and mash due to the pub closing its doors that evening. This is awful news for the pub and staff but I had no correspondence from them and should have been given the option to cancel booking. Not good enough.

Walked in ( not booked ), but the lady who greeted me found me a table. Ordered Sunday lunch of roast turkey with vegetables and Yorkshire pudding, absolutely delicious, meat was very tender, and the vegetables were cooked just right, I could have opted for the bottomless vegetables and pudding, but when I saw the amount I was served, I didn't bother !!! Dessert I chose was an Eton mess sundae, which again was delicious, washed down with a half of Peroni and an espresso coffee, all in all a very pleasant experience, also utilised the beer garden which was very nice. 10/10 for service, value for money and atmosphere. The lady that accommodated me was called Lynn, and very nice and helpful she was.

Just been tonight for our friends birthday as a party of 4. It was booked well over a week in advance, when we got there we gave our name and he said only been booked for a party of 2!! Even though we had our confirmation for a party of 4!! So gave us a table that was very small, we asked if anything available in the restaurant but he said no, so we sat at the table he said was free. We ordered drinks and started talking amoungst ourselves when we noticed a table for 4 behind us booked with the same name as us and for a party of 4 and for the same time we had booked for! Our name isn’t an everyday name so went to the bar and asked I think that’s for us but he said no it’s not we thought ok and went on to order our food but 3 things I ordered they didn’t have and the same for one of our other party so we just ordered 2 sharing starters for us 4. It was half an hour later we went back to the bar and said that party of 4 with the same name as us hasnt arrived so can we move to that bigger table and they said ok. Obviously it was our table. We had our food and noticed that the restaurant never filled up, so we could have even gone in there!! It was an eventful night with tables and meal orders but overall a nice looking place inside, whether I go back is a different matter.

The pork was was delicious. Having said that, everything else was mediocre. The cauliflower cheese was more like a cauliflower melt. Not so much a sauce, more a dollop of melted cheese on top of undercooked cauliflower. The roast potatoes were more like Aunt Bessies than freshly prepared and the yorkshire pudding beggared description. It was more of a stodgy pancake. For £13 I expect better quality. To cap it off, we waited for someone to clear the table so we could order coffee and a dessert, and we waited, and we waited, and we waited. After 15 minutes we gave up all hope and left. When we went to pay the bill, the manager mistook us for new customers and informed us that they had run out of food. At 5.45 pm?
