An enjoyable evening. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the food was excellent and fairly priced. Good options for restricted diets were available too. It was nice there being an open fire but, if anything, we were seated a bit close to it where it felt quite hot but this wasn't a big problem.Vegetarian options: A good offering of vegetarian dishes and a couple of vegan, with options of vegan versions for a couple more.

Absolutely fantastic, the best and only way to describe the food, service and atmosphere. We went out for Sunday lunch, and from the moment we entered to time we left everything was brilliant. We had a lovely table right in front of the fire, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely, the beef was perfectly cooked and the vegetables the same.I would highly recommend the Church Mouse and will most definitely be going back again and again.

Excellent Customer Service from entering the Church Mouse from Jonathon, Very friendly and helpful. Our server was Tracey who was also very friendly. Food was really good & my husband remarked on how his food was piping hot. We will definitely be returning especially for the Customer Service.

A wonderful atmosphere, it was very busy and I totally understand why , food was lovely piping hot I had my usual char grilled chicken and chips the beauty is you can build your perfect burger. My husband ordered a starter of the garlic flat bread it was huge and for main he had kedgeree fish cakes and he said they had a little kick but they were delicious. Our brother and sister in law had the steak and his partner had the lasagne, all our meals were piping hot .Will we be returning most definitely. The staff were lovely and friendly.

We booked a table for my dad’s 60th birthday (1st time we have visited). Staff let us arrive early to set a balloon and stuff on the table . When we arrived for the meal they had given us a bottle of chilling Prosecco which was a complete surprise and absolutely blew us away. Liam was our table host and he went above and beyond to help open the bottle and help with the food choices. He helped me surprise Dad with a huge slab of chocolate brownie with candles and happy birthday message wrote in a fantastic sauce on a huge slate. Absolutely fantastic staff and food was delicious. Everyone was well fed and extremely happy with the service. Would definitely recommend the Church Mouse and will definitely be making a return visit very soon.

The ambience of the bar is fantastic. You are also not seated so close to people where you feel like you can’t have a conversation, yet there is still plenty of atmosphere. The food is very good, tasty and good quality with good presentation and portion size. The only criticism was that the bread we had with the baked Camembert starter was dry. If it had been fresh and soft the meal and experience would have been perfect.

I like this place, for the cosy atmosphere, very nice interrior and friendly service. And come here often. However, this time the food was slightly disappointing. Look at the photo, it is just a small portion of belly, which was a bit hard to chew on. I wasn't left hungry though, because there were potatoes, vegetables, etc. 2 huge carrots impressive but not very attractive, a bit funny. But why is it all so expensive at £17?

blackcurrant torte, should have been put on the menu ages ago as it's the best dessert I have ever had here. Pictures do not do it justice but I have added one anyhow.

As usual on a Thursday, we called in for food on our way home. I had the same meal as last week, sirloin steak, with chips pea shoots, tomato and an onion nest. The steak was a decent thick cut and cooked to perfection, and the bearnaise sauce which was extra, was pretty good, just a touch more butter needed, but the consistency and the tarragon was spot on. The service tonight from Tracey was first class, friendly and interested but not overbearing.

Really disappointed with outcome of paying just under £16 each for mains only, Sunday lunch. Regular customers for years and response was "we are sorry . Hope you will give us another chance " Won't be returning anymore. High priced meals but normally nice. The lunch was awful..Everything was hard to chew and tasted like it had been under cooked and re heated too.A refund would have gone a little way to restore faith Not brush the issue off
