We loved this pub. The owners could not have been more welcoming and the locals took us under their wings. Great beer, superb atmosphere and a Saturday Night quiz. Perfect.

The empty plates say it all. We have eaten here as a family on numerous occasions. The service is is always warm friendly. The food is good and cooked to order. Even though you may have driven to get there you are warmly welcomed by the locals. It is a a great little place for a family get together. Large groups I would recommend they book. The meals are good value for money. They are currently trying different spirits including Durham Gin, which is distilled locally and Seedlip which is a non-alcoholic gin.

Truly fantastic food and experience. Best service we have ever received. Such a good and relaxed time that we stayed to play pool and darts with the kids - and normally we're making a hasty retreat after dessert. We'll be back often.
