A lovely place in the middle of Norton High Street. We walked in and were able to get a seat right away. It was around 11.30am and the place was busy but tables still available. The staff were friendly and answered all questions quickly and politely. We ordered a bacon sandwich, full English and some coffees. The drinks came quickly followed by the food shortly after. It was relaxed and nice to take some time out in. The costs were not high and the portion sizes were decent. I really enjoyed the flavours and will be back again.

Great location, easy access, coffee is poor quality for anyone who likes a decent cuppa very weak and taste as gritty. Cheese tastes bland also.Dietary restrictions: Do offer Gluten free food

A bit disappointed and walked straight out when I saw there was a £1 surcharge on each hot drink if you don't have food. Already quite expensive for a drink and was disgusted as a pensioner to see this. I took a family member out for coffee and just refuse to be conned. £2 on my bill extra is disgraceful especially when the cafe is empty.

Very disappointed with the scones both cheese and fruit were so dry and dense we asked for more butter. Tea for one came with no hot water to top up...won't

Popped in the Maison Cafe for breakfast and I was very impressed both with the service and the breakfast, it was the best I have had in years, so tasty and reasonably priced. In fact the last time I can remember a breakfast that nice and full of flavour was in Ireland around thirty years ago. I would say it’s the best on Teesside and I have tried them everywhere. Well worth a visit.

Been here only a couple times now. And unfortunately the last visit was disappointing. It’s a lovely place in a nice location in Norton village. However we ordered a tea cake for me and my friend and instead of making a new one they served us burnt teacakes. It appears that they burnt one then cut it in half and served us both one part of a fresh one and one half of the burnt one!

Just had lunch in Café Maison. My husband and I both had the burger and chips. The chips were big and chunky BUT were soggy and by the colour and taste cooked in old oil. Burger wasn't brilliant and the cheese a tad over cooked.Very disappointed.

Ordered lasagne with garlic bread for granddaughter. She didn’t enjoy lasagne but that down to personal taste. Garlic bread arrived burned. Brought to attention of waitress who apologised when taking plate of uneaten food away.

Ordered lasagne with garlic bread for granddaughter. She didn’t like the taste of the lasagne but that was her preference. Garlic bread was charcoal down one side. When waitress came to clear table she only apologised then removed plates. No offer of replacement which we wouldn’t have taken anyway. Poor food and even worse service
