What a gem of a place. Food and staff were perfect. We weren’t rushed and I ordered the carrot and cauliflower soup which came with focaccia bread which was delicious. As it was Sunday it would be rude not to partake in the roast beef which was pink and perfect. A glass of red was the icing on the cake, although I didn’t have room for a desert. Can’t wait return.

Dined on a quiet midweek but the staff were welcoming and very attentive. Our first visit, but we will definitely return. I am guessing that in the summer with lighter nights the place will be a bit special with views over the kitchen garden. Our food was good with a varied menu. The short rib was extremely tasty and recommended. I look forward to many more experiences in the months ahead.Parking: Parking is no issue and is plentiful

Excellent and imaginative cooking. The courses were small, but it was lunch after all. The service was a bit too slow, taking two hours to serve three courses, no coffee - no time!

Situated in a lovely area ( which was a nightmare to find on Google) Great atmosphere, staff were friendly, visited for a birthday and was hoping they'd have done something nice as I did yell them before hand. (nothing mentioned about it when we arrived) , soup was ok, tad bland salt n pepper helped, but the bread was nice- we all agreed it was tasteless , Cod was nice, for pudding I had the "just warm" apple crumble, which was ok, i couldn't eat it all and left it, both people who had the crumble were both feeling sick by the time we got home.

Service was excellent from being greeted at the entrance through ordering & food delivery. The quality, flavours & quantity of food was perfect. The set menu was excellent value & there was a good selection to house from. We will be back & I highly recommend a visit. There is lots of free easy access parking too.Kid-friendliness: Not suitable for children.

The glass house is where we went for a Meal with family on the 30th of December 2023 for our wedding, we had the private room, The food was gorgeous and the staff were amazing, I would also like to make a special mention to Kate (who I believe was the manger) she looked after us all day and couldn’t do enough for us, she was very kind and made us have a great day! Will definitely be visiting in the future! Thanks again x

We have been regulars of both Wynyard Hall and latterly The Glasshouse, for many, many years. We have always enjoyed the atmosphere and food, but sadly not this time. When we arrived we were given a table directly beneath the music speaker, which was playing very loudly. We asked to be moved, the staff member (not the original) was very understanding, admitted the music was very loud and led us to another table. It was all downhill from there. The service was not attentive and we were largely ignored all evening by the original staff member, who was obviously not pleased that we had asked to be moved......and showed it, by being overly pleasant, happy and attentive to the diners behind and to the side of us. The food this visit was a huge let down. Although the meat was passable, the vegetables were cold and undercooked. We left saddened and extremely disappointed. We love dining at Wynyard, but they definitely need to up their game for us to return. May I end by stating that I took no pleasure in submitting this negative review. It is a wonderful place to dine.......BUT.

We usually enjoy our visits to the Glasshouse, but this time it was very disappointing. The service was very slow. There was no fish option and the vegetarian option was only vegetables. The roast potatoes were hard, as was the seared cabbage. Despite using a steak knife, we could not cut them. A party at the next table had a child who cried for nearly our whole meal. We could not hear each other over the noise. I did speak to the management, who were understanding,o but it was not the relaxing meal that we had anticipated.

Food was lovely but small portions for the cost. Beware of 10% service charge ?

Fabulous Sunday lunch. 3 courses for £32 which is very good value for money. The roast striploin of beef melted in the mouth and the turkey was moist and delicious. Roast potatoes to die for, fresh veg and a large yorkshire. The staff are excellent. Attentive without being intrusive. Starters and dessert all fabulous too. We have neverhad a bad meal here.
