The room was clean, bed comfortable and ensuite working. The pub was quaint and comfortable, with out door seating available. The staff were great, welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately there was no food on offer, as the kitchens were undergoing renovations. (July 2023). There is a free carpark at the rear, and a petrol station up the road. There is a bus that travels along the road, but we didn't need to use it as we had our own car.

Was our local. Till we can't even go to the toilet , without catching a kid going though my pockets. On confronting the kid . His dad who was so drunk couldn't stand up and wanted a fight with me. The pub has been totally taken over by kids at the bar at upto 10pm . Drunk mum and dad's fighting. Throwing chairs about. A total CHAV taken over public house . And staff just watch it and tell patrons they haven't even been paid . So not down to them . I wish it was like America. Illegal to sell alcohol to totally intoxicated people. They have lost 5 locals now. Try the sloop instead, they don't tolerate that kind of behaviour

I had a great stay last week. Chaotic travel to Beverley so it was fantastic to get such a welcoming stay. I had lovely beer, massive comfy room, nice conversation and even a couple of rounds of cards. Next morning I was treated to a great full English breakfast. What a find! Certainly recommend staying, and would be a pub I'd enjoy have a few pints at tooRooms: Spacious, modern, comfortableFood & drinks: Lovely breakfast

This is a real gem on all fronts. The rooms are very comfortable and large. The bed and pillows were particularly appealing. The area is a quiet residential location but close to Beverley town centre. Cannot fault Jim and his dedicated team. Nothing was too much trouble. Included in the very reasonable tariff is a full English breakfast cooked to specific requirements. Alternatively, there are lots of other options on the menu. We were made to feel very welcome by Jim and his team and enjoyed the hospitality on offer, including the company of local friendly residents. If you’re in the area try this great venue. You won’t be disappointed. Hard to find anywhere that offers so much for so little. Even free dog treats! A great dog friendly place to stay. Thanks Jim and Co. Hope to see you again soon!

Stopped at the Game Bird Beverley whilst visiting friends, and I must say the room we stopped was huge, had everything you needed, including tea/coffee, too and even a sofa. Lovely walk-in shower in the ensuite and nothing was much trouble for the landlord Jim.It was a Monday we stopped, so they had free pool.Reasonably priced, for both room and drinks. It is only a short 10-15 minute walk into Beverley.Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks for letting us stop Jim, will no doubt be stopping again.

Hotel outstanding. Has its own car park. And Jim the owner is fantastic. Goes above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone. When in the area will 100% stay here again.

The game bird ( formally a bass pub called the Grove hill), is a large pub in a residential area. There is a car park up the back and outdoor seating. A nicely modernised refurbished comfortable pub. The bar is dog friendly. Three excellent hand pulled real ales, two Batemans and a Timothy tailors. The is also a range of other beers lagers and cider. Excellent home cooked food is served in the main room from 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and from lunchtime Sunday. A really nice pub slightly out of the way, highly recommended.Nearby activities: Within a few minutes walk of the centre of Beverly, close to the Minster, Beverly Beck and everything Beverly has to offer.Food & drinks: 3 real ales on hand pumps, And other beers and lagers. Meals served from 4 pm Thursday Friday Saturday Carvery and meals from lunchtime Sunday.Noteworthy details: Really nice pub in a quiet location

Excellent from start to finish. The rooms are HUGE, clean and comfortable and WOW, that shower is AMAZING! Food is fresh, home made, reasonably priced, piping hot and comes out quick. Decent ale and wine too. Service was great with attentive staff. What more can I say. Bravo those guys!

Fab visit for the Steak and wine night . Steak good quality and cooked perfectly, particularly like the chips and the onion rings were to die for. We will be back to try one of the speciality ?. Friendly staff who made you feel very welcome .

Came for the pie night. Great food with a fair price tag attached to it. I had the steak pie, big portion and lots of gravy! The chef was very attentive which is refreshing. Front of house was nice just a few teething issues which will be sorted I am sure as they get on their feet. Will be back again.
