Sadly our experience was disappointing. No Guidance from the staff re the menu and no engagement either.Once we ordered we had a series of updates to tell us that various choices were unavailable. Why could this have been conveyed prior to ordering or at least in one go once we had ordered. The gap between the 1st and last served disappointing was almost 1 hour and 20 minutes. We were not asked if we wanted more drinks or if everything was OK with the food. The food was average at best and overpriced. This place is the epitome of not trying or not being bothered.

Really lovely, intimate atmosphere with an authentic Spanish feel. Amazing food - flavours were superb! Staff really friendly and helpful. Definitely my new favourite restaurant in Beverley.

Excellent charcuterie and a personal service. Food and service was great. It can be tricky to know what to order from the menu but the staff are very helpful and you can pick and choose between dishes. Would highly recommend for a meal out.

Nice meal, whilst visiting family in the area. However its way over priced I am afraid, so based on that factor only not recomemded

Best meal I've had in Beverley for sure. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, as well as being attentive. The tables are a bit closer together than I would have liked so it feels a bit claustrophobic at times. However, this definitely added to the cosy feel that the place already has. The walls are packed with interesting things to look at.The food was incredible, a very high standard of dining. The flavours were delicate and balanced well. The chefs talent really shines through the dishes. The star of the show for me was the stuffed baby squid. There is a heavy Spanish/Canarian influence, executed very well. Overall a great meal and well worth the price.

Excellent food, service and setting. Since moving back from London we’ve been looking for a great Spanish restaurant. This is it. The chorizo was delicious. The steak was amazing. The bread, croquettes, prawns and wine all great too. Would definitely recommend

What a gem! Followed on social media for a long time, and finally visited today. We had an amazing lunch; there’s so much choice and such a lot to see inside (including the amazing loo!). Will definitely be back, for a meal and a few drinks, starting with sherry!

This restaurant never disappoints, a really special jewel in the Crown for Beverley- fantastic service with a smile, beautifully creative mouth watering menu with delicious fresh Ingredients- we had the Sangria, we had fantastic Tapas with innovative dishes that I've never experienced before either at our home in Spain or London. This is an example of a business with real heart and we very much look forward to returning very soon.

James and the team run a tight ship!We went for an anniversary meal, so we had a little more to spend. We had the tapas menu with a few additions and a selection of drinks. There’s a snack menu, with the best focaccia and oil I’ve ever had, we had a few meals from the specials list, but mostly from the weekday Tapas menu. We even shared the chocolate mousse with boozy cherries. That was incredible! The snack menu can be had for a lower price and it’s delicious and varied. The selection of drinks is wonderful and the service is amazing. My partner had some dietary specifics and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

Over complicated menu, tapas average & unimaginative & overpriced! £11 for 4 prawns on a skewer/ £8 for 3 sprigs of broccoli etc & a bill for 2 without wine ( but a weak, over- iced Sangria in a carafe) £93!No thank you

Tiny place, but well kept and presented. The tapas here is delicious, and staff were friendly.

Popped into the Pig & Whistle Saturday afternoon for a couple of tapas found the place average at best, over priced and slow service, waited 20 minutes for our drinks (with only 3 tables in). Patatas Bravas with “Al Dente” midi potatoes is lazy cooking and not very authentic. Good points, staff were pleasant and helpful with allergens. If you are looking to eat out there are better places in town!

After a very pleasant afternoon in the Beverley sunshine last weekend, I had time to kill before getting home, and decided on a glass of Sauvignon in the Pig and Whistle. The entrance is to the side of the building, in deep shade, but there are a few narrow tables to the front, and one was vacant. Inside, the atmosphere was not encouraging, and there was a slightly dank aroma. I order a large glass of wine. The young waitress told me that it would cost £15. That's right, no miss-print, FIFTEEN POUNDS! I was tempted to ask for a double brandy, so that I could get over the shock. But, protesting at this insane charge, I left without my drink. I neither know nor care what their food may be like, or what their prices for snacks or a meal are, but fifteen quid for a glass or nothing-that-special Sauvignon seems to me to be nothing short of profiteering. Be warned.

I have eaten here twice and the food is absolutely beautiful. The venue is quite small and cozy, I like that. I find the food to be of a very high quality for a reasonable price (you can’t expect weatherspoons prices for fresh, fantastic food). The wines were good and at just over £5 for a glass of lovely house rose I had no complaints. My only one wish would be that they would introduce a couple more vegetarian dishes (although understand that can be hard for small restaurants). I already can’t wait to go back.
