Superb food from an extensive menu, good bar with all you could want. Staff are all great & friendly . Nice spot for a summer evening sunny spot for a beer sat outside & watch the World go by. Was lacking a bit of internal atmosphere from the plain decor but Is recently undergoing full refurbishment so looking forward to seeing the new look, which im sure will give it a full 5☆ review all round! Highly recommend if your looking for a good meal out.

8/10 Restaurant for food & company but customer service was a 0/10. Came last week with my family and the young girl with dark hair who served was very rude and unwelcoming. I personally feel she let the restaurant down as everything else was good.

Booked again because last year was really good. Recommend it to friends this year. Ordered cod, lobster and prawn mains , Luke warm, think the lobster wasn’t delivered that day, couldn’t find much of it. Staff didn’t ask if everything was ok, they didn’t bother asking if we would like desserts or coffees, we had to ask. They were more interested in people at the bar who had come from the show. Very disappointed when we had encouraged others to eat there.

Been twice now, first time was a date with my partner and we absolutely loved the food and thought it was very reasonably priced. We loved it so much we couldn't wait to come back.We came back months later with our daughter. The staff were so accommodating to us all both times. They asked if we'd like her food to be brought out with our starters, they asked if we'd like a highchair for her and even gave me her plate first because it was hot. Seems like such small things but we rarely experience this when we take her out.The food is absolutely amazing, we tell everyone we know to come here if they are ever in Brid (we are from Bradford, so not local).We will definitely be back again, and again!

Since visiting Southside for my birthday in March 2023, it has been my go to place for lunch/dinner every time I visit Bridlington (about 7 times). Every time the food has been amazing and great to go for lunch after a nice walk along South Beach. Today we went for an evening meal as part of my mum’s birthday weekend with my mum, hubby and daughter. The food was exceptional, I had the mussels to start (my usual main dish) and as always it was so fresh and flavourful. Today I decided to try the rump steak for my main and it was beautiful and cooked perfectly. Service was quick and it was really nice that one of the waitresses recognised my daughter and remembered her order from 6 weeks ago. Would always recommend.
It was very quiet when we went which I found unusual given the time of year. However the staff were nice abd the food was very good. I had the spicy spag bol, my wife had the burger which she says was nice and my son had chicken nuggets which he liked
