Had pre booked for a table of four as spending the weekend in Bridlington. On the night of our booking we turned up all looking forward to our meal to find that the restaurant was closed. The staff had our telephone number so why didn’t someone call to tell us it wouldn’t be open. We then had to spend another hour finding somewhere to eat…..they don’t deserve the business if the can treat their customers like this. Apparently we were told happens often so all please be aware if you are willing to chance this restaurant

Unfortunately it seems the owner has fallen into the same problems as last time.
Purely money generated to the point the staff could no longer work in that environment so some walked out.
It does seem strange though that on the post explaining why they closed the owner chose “lack of skilled staff” as a excuse, when only days later he opens a “new” business at another bar he owns with NEW staff!!!
So no problem with making the good staff jobless only to hire new staff???
The dockside kitchen will go the same way as the onion I have no doubt because time and time again the same thing happens.
Just go on YouTube or google and look for kapow gifts or Robert redshaw and it shows the type of owner staff have to deal with.
I wouldn’t touch his other businesses: kapow gifts, Yorkshire tap bar, dockside kitchen or the board pub in skipsea with a barge pole.
There is only so many times you can abuse staff and get away with it, you have been caught before and I hope those staff you threw out based on greed alone come back to see you in court.

The food and staff and chefs are great just the owner who treats them with no respect and has closed for the umpteen time really doesn't know how to run a business shame really because apart from the owner its a little gem .

Had a valentines meal here and a birthday meal a few weeks later with the family. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was so good. Not too cheap but worth it! We'll definitely be visiting again.

Party of 18 asked to pre order food day before this was done.On arrival young lady took drinks order that went well then downhill from there.Same young lady came to check our order was in but 16 minutes later came back to take all orders again. We all placed our orders again and after an hour meals started to come out in dribs and drabs when the last person got her meal most of the others had finished. The food was poor quality for the price charged will not eat there again.

Booked on line no problem for our party of 11 people for our 50th Birthday. We did email to change the time from 6 to 7pm and again got a confirmation email. We arrive on time to an almost empty restaurant to be finally told, once we had been acknolwleged, that we did not have a table booked. We produced the email that the man behind the bar refused to look at. He then went on to say that our booking was at 6pm and we were an hour late. We again showed the confirmation email saying it had been changed to 7pm. The man just said that the email was not from him and refused to look at it. It was certainly from someone at funny onion. We were told we could wait an hour and half for a table if we wanted. The place was empty, i can understand why now the staff attitude was disgusting. This was meant to be a special birthday meal with family and friends and it was spoit by this place and they couldn't care less. I would not eat here if it was free. Having spoken to other local people it would seem we are no on our own, the food and service is very poor. Do not waste your money here they do not deserve or appreciate your custom. Much better places in Bridlington.

Food was well presented and tasty, and good value. The pie wasn't as good as the roast lunch. Mum had the small roast and it was still plenty for her. Owner and staff all wonderful and attentive

Very dog friendly restaurant. Perfect place to go with dogs. There is a few table for guests with dog which is absolutely enough. Food was delicious, staff are very friendly, nice decoration in the restaurant. Definitely we’re coming back.

Fantastic place to go, little bit out of town - but literally a 5 minute walk. Really friendly staff and good range of beers - all the food is homemade (or that's what they told us). reminds me a bit of the Philharmonic in Liverpool for some reason - which is high praise in my eyes. Well worth a visit!

Good pub food, all cooked well. Our order was taken wrong but they sorted it for us without hesitation.
