Visited yesterday morning, and what a welcome in the tea rooms. A great selection of home cooked food , the cake and sweet selection is simply outstanding, and the service quick and friendly. Traditional food, of the highest quality. I would certainly visit here again.

We originally came to visit the antiques centre which is accessible by going through the tea rooms. After browsing the antiques we saw the tea rooms were busy and many people were enjoying sandwiches, cakes and of course the finest Yorkshire Tea, so we decided to stay and have some lunch. There were plenty of choices and additional items on the specials board. There were 4 of us and we all ordered the Steak Pie, mashed potato, peas and gravy. The food was delicious, piping hot and we ALL enjoyed it. The service was fantastic, particularly the very nice lady who took our orders and served our food. This is a wonderful place for a leisurely afternoon tea or lunch. Highly recommended.

Staff need to smile and maybe say Hello or Welcome? What a cold reception… busy or not - this is hospitality, not can’t be bothered… wish we had gone elsewhere and not spent our money there.

Welcoming staff. Pug friendly and also given a dog sausage. Green tea offered in a tea pot with extra hot water. Fun antiques inside and in the garden to go and look at.

My husband and I visited here for the first time for breakfast Sunday morning. We both had the classic breakfast, it consisted of 2 rashers of bacon & 2 eggs. The bacon was very tasty, nicely cooked & the eggs were cooked exactly as ordered. It was served with 2 slices of toast with a portion of marmalade, washed down with a delicious latte.

We popped in here for Sunday lunch as we were walking through old town and it was lovely. The food was tasty and served quick. I had jacket potato with cheese and my friend had mushroom omelette and we both enjoyed the food. The antique shop upstairs was nice to wander round too.

We visited this tea room many times when camping at Rudston, but this was the first time we had visited for about 7 years. It is pretty much the same. We had lovely cakes, the coffee was good and the tea came in a teapot, although it was teabag tea, not loose leaf. It retains its charm and is clearly popular as they turned away a number of people while we were there. It would be wise to book. Unfortunately the toilets are upstairs, so not ideal for disabled customers.
