We came here with a group of friends to celebrate my Husbands Birthday. The place itself is lovely and has a wonderful setting right on the lake. Would be lovely in the summer with the sun shining. We arrived at our booked time and were shown to our seats. Unfortunately even though it wasn't very busy the service was extremely slow. It took about 20 minutes before someone came to take our drink order and then it was quite a wait before we actually got our drinks. It then took about another 15 minutes before someone came and took our food order. By the time our food actually arrived it was over an hour from the time we had sat down. When the food did actually arrive it was all very lovely and hot and we were all very pleased with our choices, the staff were all very polite and apologite about the delay. It hasn't put us off as everyone has an off day so we will be back.

Set on the edge of a lake within a holiday lodge park it is a beautiful setting to enjoy the Italian style cafe/restaurant. Great service and delicious meal. Well priced as well.

The food was lovely, venue and staff were brilliant and we spent a relaxed couple of hours reminiscing. My father-in-law and wider family were all really grateful.

We always enjoy a trip to Bert's. Whether it's for morning coffee (and cake or a biscuit!), lunch ir dinner, the pleasant outlook from the 'window wall' over the lake makes a great backdrop to the food. Never disappointed !
Never had a bad meal here and we come quite regularly for birthdays and anniversaries as well as get togethers as we live in the village. Staff are always super friendly and never had a grumpy or can't be bothered attitude. Super views across the lake too. Claudia's service is also super friendly and my husband even got a surprise birthday candle in his ice cream!
