Had a delicious family Sunday lunch with 7 of us, absolutely lovely food, generous portions with loads of different veg. Had the steak and kidney pud which was amazing! Everyone else enjoyed their roasts and we all squeezed a homemade pudding in from the impressive list! Old school village pub with great food.

Five stars for this lovely old pub, with lovely staff, and a Sunday lunch to die for!!! Portion size above and beyond what you expect! Puddings we're lovely too, and the prices were really competitive, well worth a visit!

Really good food, served cheerfully. They have a good but limited pre-evening menu, reasonably priced, which is the type of meal I went for.

Went to the Anvil Arms for Sunday Lunch, it is so popular there are two sittings. Sheila the landlady is also the chef. The food is always superb and there is a good selection beers, wines and spirits behind the bar. You need to ring and book on Sunday's.
