Quite a small pub, but as it is a small village, will no doubt be adequate. We visited for a special occasion, with quite a number of people, so it was very crowded with limited seating. However, the buffet served on the day was excellent. Variety of dishes and the quality was very good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, it's too far away for a second visit, but we definitely recommend the establishment.

First time visiting here as we have recently moved to Gilberdyke we were looking for somewhere near myself,husband & 9 week old puppy Billy were treated like old friends as soon as we walked in!The owner/landlord greeted us warmly , as requested when booking over the phone he seated us in a quiet corner as I am currently having chemotherapy for cancer & didn’t want to be in a busy area. Billy was treated to one of Bernard’s treats (dog) which he enjoyed ? The food was delicious, a very clean & well presented pub, nice chilled atmosphere, we had a starter each ,Sunday lunch plus we shared the nicest lemon & raspberry bread & butter pudding I’ve tasted in a long time ??? Thank you so much - we will be back very soon ?
