There are burgers and then there are BURGERS. These are the latter. Delicious. Great little place. Excellent service. Table in the sun, what more could you want.

Super dog friendly, like they go out of their way to make you and your dog at home. Really friendly staff. Lovely setting, especially the sofa at the front. Ok food.

Relaxing atmosphere, friendly cheerful staff and owner. Good lunch menu (2 or 3 courses £15 or £20). Good selection for a Ceiiac member of our group. All our meals were excellent, not a crumb left on any of our plates!

A fabulous place to have a drink watching the world go by. Food looks amazing and sounds delicious. Will definitely have a meal there very soon.Chardonnay was delicious and perfectly cooled.Staff very attentive and had a smile whenever you asked them a question. Recommend a visit.

Place has a nice atmosphere, good for drinks but food menu is limited and some items are well overpriced. Ordered the cod and crab salad, for £18 I thought it's got to be a good salad! Sadly I was left very disappointed. There was hardly any cod in the salad and virtually zero crab meat, in fact I'm not 100% sure if they just forgot to add it completely. I felt severely ripped off. My husband had the burger and had no complaints............I guess just don't order the salad! ? The staff were really friendly and I would probably return to see if my next experience improved

This was our second lunch time visit. The first one was pretty much the same as well but I thought that I would give them a 2nd chance after seeing some of my friends on Facebook had had such great food. There were three adults and two toddlers. The childrens food looked lovely sausage skin on fries and baked beans. The children were also provided with their own small cutlery. Unfortunately the baked beans were served to both children on their plates in small stainless steel pot which were so hot to touch that I had to empty them onto the plate using a napkin. My husband and I ordered sussex burgers because this was the only option that we would eat ffom the menu and my friend ordered the vegetarian option. Both sussex burgers were dry and overcooked and served with a mere handful of fries, less than the childrens meal. We had to attract the waitresses attention to order drinks, the meal and dessert. Although we were asked if everything was okay before we had even started to eat. The desserts were also disappointing and we felt overpriced. The apricot bakewell tasted very dry and the stewed apple dish were bland. I won’t be giving them a 2nd chance. We were not offered any lunch time specials snd only noticed them on a small chalkboard when we were leaving. Which was unfortunate as I would definitely have preferred a fish dish.

Would not recommend for vegetarian or vegans. Only two Vegetarian main meals and one was a salad. The other was a pulled mushroom burger, very lacking in mushrooms with a plain white bun for £14 50! We ordered a side salad which had no dressing. When we asked for dressing we were told they did not have any but could give us some olive oil! Not impressed.

Socks need pulling up I’m afraid, too much competition to be this complacent where the food is concerned!

Attended Rocksalt recently. It's a good little bar that seems to suffer from bad staffing. The food quality is good albeit slightly pricey for the area, the drinks are definitely on the high side. The venue itself has that quirky vintage shabby chic feel. I do like the place overall. The staff seem very vacant at the best of times and totally unorganised. One member of staff specifically stands out (dark hair, female, combat style trousers, possibly the supervisor) as particularly not committed to the job or required service levels. It took several requests each time to get menus, order drinks, order food, order more drinks), I don't know if we just had a table out of sight but it definitely felt like we were invisible. On two notable occasions this staff member came and took our menus away without taking our order and delivered drinks without even acknowledging us or making eye contact.... again like we were invisible, it was very odd. I do recommend Rocksalt as it has a great vibe, good quality fare in an excellent location but you need to abandon thoughts of attentive service at the door.
