Went here for lunch today, food was lovely but service could have been improved. We were going to have the 3 course set menu but nobody came to find out which desserts we wanted. I had to go and ask for the bill. The people at the next table had a long wait for their coffee and another couple walked out when nobody came to take their order.This is such a shame as the service was good when we arrived and the food was great.

In a street of other Italian Restaurants Bella Italian although a chain had a nice vibe and a pleasant decor. The food was excellent, and my server, Stelios was especially attentive, yet not intrusive. He clearly has a good handle on how to serve in a busy restaurant, especially when faced with staff shortage. The wine was lovely and the dessert rounded off the meal perfectly.

Hostess in the door was so kind and polite.But service wasn’t that good. When we ordered carbonara, waitress didn’t doublecheck and they brought pizza instead of pasta what was a bit weird. But pizza was quite nice.My Caesar salad was good and I’m not sure how it presented in menu, but usually it serves with Parmesan flakes and cherry tomatoes. Here I’ve had lettuce, bread crumbs, chicken and sauce. The taste was good.I totally don’t recommend tiramisu because it’s more coffee cake than creamy Italian dessert.

Only ones in the restaurant as there ovens were not working. They had phoned me earlier to advise and when we arrived they opened the door for us and put down a ramp for my mobility scooter. They'd even cleared a table to get my scooter in safely. As soon as we sat down they came over to clarify what they could and couldn't serve. I was a bit disappointed as I was hoping to have a pizza but instead had Chicken Milanese 941 kcal Breaded and butterflied chicken breast dusted with pecorino cheese, with melted garlic butter to pour It was so yummy the chips were divine. My mum had the Marco Polo pasta with duck and hoisin sauce and loved that too. We finished it by sharing some gelato. As the issues with the oven we had a private dining experience. I love Bella Italia and always have done. Always my 1st choice if it's available.
