Went for my daughter’s birthday the staff were very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is very clean and staff clear the tables and prepare them ready for the next guests expertly. We were disappointed with the starters and main course. The satay chicken was dry, salt and pepper squid and salt and pepper chicken were dry and bland. We ordered sizzling seafood, sizzling prawns and sizzling chicken with black bean sauce. The seafood and prawns were not panfried but tasted boiled and then placed on sizzling hot players with a clear sauce. Taste was bland and we have definitely had better local takeaways. The black bean sauce was very runny and lacked depth and flavour with the chicken. Overall we were very disappointed with our meals especially as we wanted everything to be perfect for our daughters celebration

Went here ad hoc on Christmas Eve after an afternoon cinema screening (as it was the only chinese we could find that was open around here!) we had such a fantastic time! We are so grateful they squeeze me, hubby, grown up daughters in. We loved the food, and the service was impeccable. The pianist was an added bonus! Thank you for making our Christmas eve wonderful we will definitely be back because we saw the crispy duck that other tables were having and it looked incredible. And have recommended to friends and family.

Staff were friendly and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with a pianist playing everything from Christmas music to Chopin. They gave us a nice table. The wonton soup was good as were the giant prawns and mixed dim sums. We would return for a dim sum lunch. However the courses lacked spicing and chili and were a bit bland. This was a shame as could be so much better with some tweaking.

The food here is okay - but overpriced. More so these days with reduced portions as well as increased prices . . . The management here have always been unpleasant but the waitresses always have been nice in the past . . . to make up for it . . . Not so on our last visit - the management unpleasant as usual but with the waitresses also being rude and abrupt . . . Despite booking a table three weeks in advance and asking for particular location - we were seated somewhere else - being told that they are 'very busy' . . . The table we asked for was empty when we arrived and an hour and half later when we left was still empty . . . Never again I'm afraid.

Myself and friends visited this Chinese restaurant on a trip to Brighton. The service was excellent and the food was fresh, tasty and delicious. Will definitely be visiting this Chinese if I'm back in the area. ??

We have been coming to this restaurant since living in Hove almost 30 years ago. We have long since moved away to the Midlands, but still love to visit Brighton every few years. This visit did not disappoint! The starters we had (steamed scallops, soft shelled crab and crispy seaweed,) were fresh, beautifully seasoned and absolutely divine! Both of us also loved our mains. I had braised beancurd with black bean sauce, and it was so fresh and delicious. My husband had the sizzling king prawns in ginger and spring onion, and thought they were the fattest, juiciest, most flavoursome prawns he has had in a long time! The waiting staff are polite but to the point and don’t mess around. The live pianist is always a nice touch. We will look forward to visiting our favourite Brighton Chinese restaurant on our next trip.

We haven’t been to this restaurant for sometime. it used to be our favourite Chinese restaurant in Brighton. It was very busy and the service was okay, but nothing great. There was three of us and we ordered four individual starters, but they all came up together on one plate to our surprise! We also ordered Crispy duck as a second course and it came up very quickly and wasn’t that hot. Our main dishes did not come up together and again the food was not hot, I think because they are so busy a lot of the food is pre cooked which is a shame.

We had a delicious lunch here. The service was attentive although one of the waitresses came across as quite blunt! Delicious, authentic Chinese food. A member of staff was able to recommend dishes to us based on what we like to eat. The food was fresh, hot and very enjoyable. Looking forward to another meal here soon!

Good quality Chinese restaurant near the big hotels on the promenade , tasty food, big portions, reasonable price. Will certainly visit again.

It all looks amazing, we didn’t eat in the end. The food rating put us off, we had to google it, it’s not on their door like you would expect. Won’t eat anywhere the food rating is so low

Lovely dinner and attentive staff. Is accessible in a manual wheelchair but no disabled toilet (Although I was told about this while booking)

The food here is amazing, large portions and the best satay chicken I’ve ever had. Been here on a number of occasions and as is must for our family visiting from abroad.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here recently. The menu has a great selection of Chinese food and the food was delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient and the relaxed atmosphere just enhances the dining experience

After paying my bill the lady was reluctant to give me my VATreceipt that she finally printed for me

Poor food quality and main meal was not hot. Staff very ignorant and unfriendly. Overpriced for poor quality of food you get, better quality restaurants further up the street. Never go back and my advice is avoid at all costs
