Chinese Restaurants in Brighton

“I haven't eaten at the China garden for at least 25 years. The food was just as amazing as it always was, the menu was fantastic and the staff were really attentive. On a couple of occasions our request for drinks was forgotten although it wasn't busy. I love the traditional feel of the restaurant, but it could do with some help making it feel less clinical. It was also too warm although I could see air con units. All in all a really good experience and fantastic celebration for my daughter a level results. Thank you ?”

“Everyone who served us were friendly and helpful. The fried rice and sambal belacan are my favorites. The fried vegetables are done just right - lightly fried and crunchy. Soups (we had hot and sour soup and a vegetable soup) are well balanced. They do Teh Tarik too!We had Malaysian laksa and Singapore fried bee hoon too but did not like it much. The laksa broth lacks flavour and the Singapore fried bee hoon is flavoured with curry powder which is not what we’ve expected.Overall, food is good. And if you are in Brighton and want a flavour of Malaysia, I would recommend it”

“We were alone in the first floor for most of the meal with another family coming in later on which was nice as it meant we could hear each other. The best bit was the service, it was not just good but delivered with a smile, the worst was the trip to the loos being a little much for those of us with mobility issues but it was doable”

“We were staying in an apartment nearby and were not disappointed. Ordered crispy duck and pork dish. Delivered on time and food was very tasty. Would try eating in next time visiting Brighton.”

“Only went following TripAdvisor reviews. Thank you reviewers. We only saw eastern asian people in here both when we booked and when we returned. The waiter was great. Asked if we wanted spicy or sweet, plus several other questions before advising us. We had a spicy beef broth with home made noodles with a twice cooked pork in sou sauce and a beef curry. Absolutely amazing food. Great service and I would love to go there regularly. Shame it's too far from home. Plenty to eat, left absolutely nothing and a bill of £40 all inc. Top spot.”
