We had our meal and desert all Was nice and then when we ordered coffees we were told to leave! They need the table…. I’ve never felt so embarrassed and treated this way before. For a local restaurant, not a good look.

Visit head here this evening. A lovely meal was served by Priscilla who was so friendly, so smiley and so lovely to us. The meal came quickly and tasted delicious. I know that a lot of meals get heated up in a microwave in the kitchen but I didn’t really want to see my meatballs being poured out of a plastic tub after the clingfilm had been taken off it after it has just been taken out of the microwave. It really took away from the authenticity of it. also watching the prawns being poured out of her plastic bag wasn’t the nicest thing to watch either. The tiramisu was pretty much the worst I have ever tasted. The food tasted delicious and the staff was so friendly. The atmosphere was so lovely, which is why I have given it. The 5 star rating but please take more care !! If I haven’t said it already, Priscilla was amazing , Priscilla, b

We have been visiting La Tana for approximately 10 years. It is our “go to favourite restaurant”. Always guaranteed stunning food, fabulous atmosphere and friendliest service possible. The owner Ali makes everyone feel special and is passionate about his restaurant. Couples, families, special occasions…. everyone is always happy. I’d recommend trying to book beforehand if possible. Mind you the staff will also move tables etc to try to accommodate customers. Last year I brought my family friends and one of party is a highly respected chef. He was impressed and very complimentary about La Tana. So if you haven’t been I really do advise visiting La Tana. (Don’t make it difficult for me to find a table though ?.)

We had a pleasant evening at La Tana and the food was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a independent Italian restaurant. The service was a little slow but overall we had a great experience and would definitely come again if we were to visit Brighton in the future.

My wife, son and myself went for an evening meal to celebrate my birthday. We had to pre book and it was very busy. The staff were very friendly, the service excellent, the place very clean and the food extremely enjoyable. We didn't bother with starters. I had the steak (cook your own on a hot stone) this was served with chips and a beautifully prepared/designed salad. 3 different dips were supplied and also very decoratively presented. Ok so I cooked it to my liking but what a steak and so tender too! My wife had a prawn pasta and my son chicken. They both throughly enjoyed theirs. We all had a dessert and a drink followed by coffee. Total cost under £140 including service charge. We would 100% return.....it was lovely. Richard & Fran

Lovely family run Italian restaurant the chef takes great pride before he executes dishes:) This place is loved by guests it was fully booked. A hidden gem in the Brighton area and we will back for sure. We had bruchetta to start and pizza simple and original. Grazie Mille????

Used this place a lot during covid to order takeaways - always had some of the best pizza. Decided to have an evening out and thought we would go here. Excellent service and very attentive, great menu choice with the flexibility when it came to making a change for dietary reasons. Well priced and washed down with a very nice wine!

Well what can we say about this place, the food is out of this world. If you have to eat please don't pass this place. If you're visiting or leave nearby you NEED to come here. You'll never go to another Italian again. The staff are brilliant the food is even better. We will most definitely be coming back. The whole ambience is top notch, the decor is very tasteful and not over the top. Unfortunately we didn't get to have a dessert as we were too full but they looked just as good as the starters and mains. Please don't pass an opportunity to come here. You will not be disappointedParking: Isn't loads of parking due to where it is situated so may have to park up road and walk down but regardless you won't be disappointed

What an authentic, wonderful place. Real Italian music. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The sauce had real depth and flavour. On our next trip to Brighton we are definitely stopping here. You should too!

Excellent restaurant, an great Italian venue. Very friendly staff. I had tagliatelle salmon my partner had duck & cherry sauce. She commented it was the best duck she had ever eaten. The red wine was brilliant. A great evening.

Located out of the way of busy town and being so local, me and my girlfriend tried La Tana with a craving for Italian cuisine. One of the restaurants you’d walk past and for some reason not try just yet, but what a regret that was! We loved it here, staff were so friendly and the restaurant was small but welcoming, very vibrant and friendly atmosphere and even as it got busy it still carried a calming and joyful aura. The food was fantastic and we enjoyed the seafood pasta so much with garlic bread on the side and a banoffee pie for dessert to share. Great service and great food with a surprisingly impressive waiting time and attention to detail to make your experience the best, La Tana had made regulars out of us and we will be back. Lucky to have a local restaurant like this.
