Tremendous burger, couldn’t fault anything. Had the bacon cheese and every element was perfect. Sweet potato fries cooked to perfection and generous portion. There’s a few really good burger places in Brighton but this has to be the best in my opinion. Will be going back! Also…. Made to feel really welcome, I’m assuming it’s a true independent.

A complete contrast to the miserable experience yesterday at the Juggs in Kingston.The Franklin Arms was very busy at lunchtime but the bar staff were able to make eye contact and smile welcomingly.I had fish and chips, clearly fresh and made on the premises. Our meals were brought out, we were asked if we enjoyed the food, and tea and coffee were brought out for payment later even though we were outside.A well run and pleasant local pub with friendly staff.
