Wow! Possibly the best fish and chips we have ever tasted. Everything cooked freshly to order and individual requirements helpfully catered for. We ordered 4 different meals including an ‘off menu’ pan fried fish. All were delicious. Lovely staff and a great vibe. Sadly we are only visitors to Brighton… so wish we were local!

We came for the vegan menu and we were so pleased we did! The no-fish was the best of that style we've ever had, and jackfruit scampi was so tasty and lovely texture. The owner and staff were also lovely and really friendly.

Was one of the best chip shops in Brighton. Sadly it no longer is, not just a blip either, as i gave them a second chance and if anything was even more dissapointed. Stale, barely warm chips, greasy batter on the fish and surly service. So sad, previously I'd of travelled miles out of my way for this place. C'mon Jack sort it out

Wow .. just wow ! Best chips best fish best battered sausage best curry sauce ( like katsu ) .. great service !! They even gave us separate portions of salt and vinegar as we weren’t sure what everyone wanted … highly recommend !! Best chippy in Brighton if not Britain ??

I googled best fish and chips in Brighton near us and we discovered this take out. Reasonable prices, special price for OAP at only £4.50. I ordered large cod £8.50 and small chips £1.95 (pictured)Service was fast and staff were lovely!

Came back to Brighton a year and a half later and went straight for lunch here again. Definitely the best fish and chips tried in Btown and lovely little business. Everything is cooked to order right in front of you and quite often there’s a little queue, which confirms its popularity. The staff in there are funny and nice and the fish tastes fresh and flaky, cooked so nicely in the batter. The batter and chips are proper and crispy and not too oily like some places. They’ve also got veggie options which is really cool!11/10 would recommend ?It’s a very small place so not much space to stay but fish and chips by the sea is the way to go; just watch out for Brighton’s famous seagulls ??Vegetarian options: Veggie alternatives and other options available :)

Great vegetarian options, and the chips were perfection. Very generous with the amount of sauce they provide. Service was friendly and polite. Would love to come back here again!

In rep.y to your claim that the staff member had a lolly in their mouth rather than an unlit cigarette, immediately after serving me at the till the staff member went outside for a break and lit the lolly

Me and friend were in Brighton for the day and we’re both vegan so checked this place out. Very welcoming atmosphere thanks to the staff. There were many interesting vegan options, I went for the tofu one which was okay but think I’d try something else next time. Paid extra for vegan tartar sauce which was very nice

Wonderful staff and keen service making this a warm place to visit. Try the rock/huss and the to-die-for onion rings for a great taste experience. Forgot to take a picture as I was so busy gobbling up the goodies.
Food really nice portions terrible Want a squirt of mayo or ketchup on chip 75p outrageous Shame on them.

Poor. Owners attitude even worse. Was a regular but recently thr food is poor, portions tiny, prices increased and management rude.

So glad we found this shop as the food was amazing and the choice for vegetarians was brilliant. We were the last customers (tip - don’t turn up just before closing time as they stop serving maybe 20-25 mins before to give them time to get existing orders out) and I’m so glad we just got there in time. Massive portions, crispy batter, freshly cooked food with a fun (slightly zany) atmosphere. Haddock, goujons, calamari , halloumi and onion rings were fabulous eaten on the beach just a 5 min walk away.

The best cod and chips I've had in a long long time and the service was friendly and very efficient. Well recommended

After a disappointing trek up to Bardsleys on Baker Street I thought Id try this place. Chips were top notch and fish excellent. Not sure I love their batter but the rest was great and friendly service. The location is also great as it is a short walk from the beach. Will certainly come back here next time in town rather than going out of my way to go to Bardsleys. Recommend this place.
